*Warm, Wolfram is so warm, and if she wasn't afraid of frightening Wolfram, she'd cling to her and surely say something very stupid. So instead she nods and allows Wolfram to help her back to her feet.*
*Holding tightly onto Wolfram's hand, the other girl leads her back to the bed. For a moment she stands at the side, trying to muster the energy to protest, and then strips off her black jacket, dropping it to the floor and climbing into bed. The soft of the mattress and blanket welcome her and she sighs tiredly. Once she's settles back down again, Wolfram lays back down next to her, and she takes comfort in the closeness.*
You like dark chocolate and honey drops *she begins again, softly* You put vanilla sugar in your tea and love to sleep late in the mornings. Your mother named a flower after you, the Beautiful Wolfram. Which is suitable, cause you're the young beauty of the castle. You like to be called 'pretty', though Conrad said something about that, that I can't remember.
*If she can't fix anything else tonight, she will do her best to make Wolfram feel more comfortable in her own skin*
::When Yuuri begins speaking, she's confused for an instant, but then she remembers what they had been doing before the interruption of the guards at the door. As she listens, she burrows a little closer to Yuuri, pulling the blanket up tighter around their shoulders. She isn't actually cold, but she wants to make sure that Yuuri is warm. She tries to find places to fit Yuuri's words into the blank puzzle of her mind, storing them away like precious things. Content and comfortable, she speaks thoughtlessly.::
If there is a flower named for me, and I'm really a boy, there must be a thousand named for you. ::A slow, shy smile curls her lips.:: I must be lucky to be engaged to someone as beautiful as you.
::Suddenly, something Yuuri had mentioned tugs at her thoughts, and the smile slowly melts off her face to be replaced by nervous, thoughtful look. She's glad at the moment that Yuuri can't see her face, as she takes a moment to struggle with the question she wants to ask. When she finally speaks, her voice seems almost tiny against the vast silence of the room.::
I... You said that our engagement was an accident. ::Her hand clutches the blanket tightly, and even though Yuuri cannot see her, she can't quite meet those dark eyes.:: I... Would you tell me what happened?
No, *a snorted laugh accompanies a small smile* no, the only thing named after me is a way of serving fish with rice. Though I heard someone say that they were thinking of making it a word. To Yuuri: to do something incredibly foolish with the best of intentions in mind. Though Gwendal may have been teasing when he said that. You can never tell with Gwendal.
*A blush blooms over her face at the praise Wolfram gives her for her looks, ordinary as she is, but the soft, sad sound of Wolfram's voice makes her pause and frown slightly. Wolfram seems upset, even if without her memories, she can't remember why. She owes it to Wolfram to try to explain herself, she promised to help put Wolfram's jumbled mind at ease.*
What happened *she repeats, thinking back wistfully to her first day here* I got here from my home, completely unaware and confused. I met everyone, took a bath, was introduced to everyone at dinner. When we got into an arguement. I lost my temper and *wince* slapped you. I didn't know that I had just proposed. But *she pauses thoughtfully* even if the initial proposal was an accident, that doesn't mean I regret it.
You are my friend, Wolfram, and I care very much for you. Our getting engaged might have been an accident...but our relationship is not. Mom calls it fate, some call it luck, other call it love, I think they all have the same base; finding someone you are happy with and treasure. That's what's important, ne? Even if I didn't MEAN to propose, I'm, I'm happy that I did. Because so much has happened BECAUSE I did, and I wouldn't lose that for anything.
::At the first pause in Yuuri's explanation, she's tense and quiet. But then Yuuri goes on, and slowly she relaxes. More questions have been sparked by some of what Yuuri has said, but she's content with this answer. It seems that this is where she belongs, and she becomes a bit more hopeful that with time everything will come to fit once again.::
Thank you. ::Her arms slowly slide around Yuuri, and she hugs the other girl tightly, a faint blush darkening her cheeks.:: For explaining, I mean. And for trying so hard and not giving up on me. I really must be very lucky...
*She nods, and hugs her fiancee back. Wolfram's body is warm and she smells good too. She could fall asleep just like this.* Yes, you are. You are surrounded by people who love you so much.
::She hasn't slept much since the events of the morning before, and she tries to hold back a yawn, only half succeeding. Her voice is a little muffled by that when she first starts to answer.:: Ahh, I meant that I was lucky you put up with me until we reached the point where we actually wanted to be engaged.
::The question makes her blink a little, and then she laughs softly.:: No, I don't think that's what I said. I think I said you were beautiful, didn't I?
*A sleepy giggle escapes before she can stop it and she shakes her head before burying her face in Wolfram's shoulder.* You made me put up with you. Thank you for that, by the way.
Beautiful *she repeats, correcting herself, blushing slightly* Maa, you flatter me too much. You know that you're so much cuter.
::She decides, right that moment, that the sound of that giggle is enchanting, and she hopes that she can find ways to hear it more often.:: I made you? Maybe you'll have to tell me about that some other time...
::Another yawn catches her by surprise, and she runs the fingers of one hand slowly through Yuuri's hair, eyes half-closed.:: Actually, I don't know... I don't remember what I look like, and I haven't taken the time to look at my reflection. Not that it really matters. I'm sure I'd say the same thing even if I knew.
You would *she agrees sleepily* You have. The things you've said...*she shakes her head and entwines her hand with Wolfram's rubbing at the ring on the girl's finger* I think you just take peverse pleasure in making me blush.
*Hearing Wolfram yawn inspires one in herself and her eyes slide shut at the force of it.*
The things I've said... ::The words come out in a small whisper, and she glances down at the ring that Yuuri touches. She hopes that she'll come to remember everything that has led them to this, but for a moment she thinks that even if she doesn't, she could be happy just building new memories from here.::
::Noticing the force of Yuuri's yawn, she smiles and snuggles a little closer.:: You should sleep. I'll be here. I won't leave you alone.
I shouldn't be so sleepy *she protests with a laugh* I just had a nice long nap. Still, maybe cause of the mind whammy....you should get some sleep too, Wolfram. That nurse said that rest would help you too. More, probably.
*Slowly she lets her eyes fall closed and pushes the blanket further up Wolfram's shoulders* I know you won't leave, Wolfram *she whispers* You've never left my side before. Don't think you'd start now, memory loss be damned. You are who you are, and that doesn't change.
::She squeezes Yuuri a little harder at the reassurance, the faint tightness in the back of her throat keeping her from answering right away.::
Thank you. ::She lightly kisses Yuuri's temple, then settles more comfortably on the bed, with a soft, content sigh as her eyes flutter closed.:: You're right, we should both sleep while we can.
