*She stands, unfolding from her chair like a great black butterfly and calls for silence, waiting until all the murmuring has died down before she begins to speak*
First things first, you all need to be informed of what is happening and why you have been summoned here. If anyone was NOT invited, please leave, this is a matter of national security.
Early yesterday, there was an explosion in Anissina’s labs. As a result, some of you have experienced a change in your gender. For some it has worn off, for others it has yet to revert to your natural form. We are reasonably confident that it won’t take too much longer to wear off.
For those of you who have not heard, yesterday morning my double self, Shibuya Yuuri died in a tragic accident. What followed was a failed attempt to bring him back the resorted in many of us being laid up from the shock wave that followed. Complications from that overload caused my sight to leave me for awhile, but be not mistaken I am in no way very unconvinced or daunted by this.
For there are more pressing issues. Yesterday evening, I was informed that this world’s Greta has been kidnapped. We do not yet know by whom or for what reason, but we are going to do everything to make sure that she’s returned safely. But there is worse news. Yesterday our Northern border of Khrennikov was attacked. Those who were not down from the shock wave, mostly half bloods, were sent to defend the province.
I do not want to risk open war, but I will not allow this country to be invaded and our lands raided, our people tormented. As soon as they are able to travel, I want the Mazoku half of the army to join our forces already in Khrennikov. If they mean to fight us, we must be prepared to defend our homes and families. We have allies, and we have the will and strength to push back an invasion.
But I can not allow us to rush into anything with half information. If anyone knows something that has not been shared with me personally, now is the time to speak up. Now is not the time to be bashful or worry about if I need to know. I assure you, for the good of this country, it is not the time to be timid or closed lipped.
