Next time I'll heard an italian journalist saying "...because we all know USA can be incredibly prig, sometimes" like if here in Italy we're living in the land of freedom, I'm going to link this post to that journalist.
For the ones are not hysteric fangirls among us, well, I'll do a brief synthesis. This is an shoot of "I love you Philip Morris", a movie we will see in cinema next weekend. The main character, Jim Carrey, is fraud man who hurts himself in small accidents to take money from insurances. It's a funny, normal carreyish movie until he is catched and imprisoned; during this period, he knows and falls in love with Ewan McGregor (aka the young Obi One Kenobi), and I can easily understand why, McGregor is able to look at you with such puppy eyes, awww! Err, after they're both free citizens again, they go to live together, with Carrey making even more complex frauds to give to his lover the most luxurious life he can. The end? No, the beginning!
It's not a masterpiece, but at Sundance the movie took good reviews, so what's the problem? The gay matter, of course!! The movie is still having problem in finding buyers in some country. He found a buyer in Italy only some months ago, Lucky Red, so I was sure I will finally able to see it. Guess what? Even if I knew the movie quite well, I didn't recognize at first its trailer, because...well, look at original trailer:

here the italian one:

First? Where is the gayness? And, more important, where is Ewan McGregor? O_O
Lucky Red said they wanted to introduce the movie as the classical comedy with Jim Carrey. The problem is...it isn't the classical comedy of Jim, at all! If you want to trick the audience with a "fake" trailer, I want you to sit on my side when, after 40 minutes, when 1/3 of audience will begin to say "Oh, it's a gay film! What a shit! I don't want to see it!" It's like Sweeney Todd, that wasn't introduce like a musical and at every screening someone says "Oh, but when they will stop singing?"
Someone will take children to see this movie. And I want only fangirls sit next to me, giggling at the kiss scene, not a baby that ask to his freezed father "Why that man is kissing a man?" or I'll will explain to him why and all the fault will be of Lucky Red! XDDD
Gayness is the new selling point!! Why no one understand this simple assertion?
Last note: the italian title sounds like "love at first sight: the fraud wizard".
Errr *rolleyes*
