Orihime’s Point of View
Impeccable, Attractive and Nice, that’s him, Ishida Uryuu. I love him but the sad part is he can never be mine.
I started to like him last June. He’s seating beside me and we keep on talking. But, we only talk about school related matters. Deep inside my heart, I wanted him to talk about something else. Something like, what are the characteristics that he likes in a girl? What’s his hobby? and so on. I want to know more about him. The way he stares with those small eyes of his makes me melt on my place.
Unfortunately, October came and our teacher decided to change the seating arrangement. He’s 5 seats away from me but it doesn’t matter ‘coz I could still see him and there are some “coincidences” happening like we’re always near each other.
I wonder why my classmates didn’t come to school today. Maybe they’re too lazy to go to school or they’ve some important things to do. But as our teacher has said yesterday, we’ll have a quiz today and she won’t give special quizzes to those persons who’re absent today.
As I turned my head around, I noticed that the chair behind me is vacant. How I wish Uryuu would decide to transfer there. Ichigo, his friend, is beside me so he does have a reason to transfer
“Hey Uryuu!!! Where the hell are you staring at???” Kurosaki Ichigo, The guy who’s seating beside me yelled.
“Ah no, I’m just thinking about something.” Uryuu replied
“Oh Come on! I know you could totally perfect this quiz, stop reviewing already!!! Oh, transfer at Orihime’s back, nobody is seating there, so you know…I could copy from you.” said Ichigo. W-what? Did Ichigo read my mind? Is it just a coincidence that he asked Uryuu to transfer to the chair at my back?
“Shh!!!!” Uryuu silenced him, afraid that our teacher might hear what Ichigo have just said. Ichigo suddenly became quiet
“See? Our teacher didn’t react; it only means she never heard what I’m saying. Hey! Don’t change the topic, just transfer there already, we’re friends right?” Ichigo said. Oh please Uryuu, listen to what Ichigo is saying and transfer to the chair at my back.
He transferred to the chair behind me and now, I have to stop myself to look at him. I can’t let him know my secret. This is one of those “coincidences” that I’m near Uryuu.
“Ok, keep all your notes. We’ll start the quiz now.” Our teacher said. Well, no worries, I already reviewed last night.
“This is a 10 items quiz, #1…”
After 20 minutes
“Last number”
Yes! Finally the last number! I’m already starting to get sleepy. I could now sleep after this quiz. Ah, no, I mean I could now pretend to sleep while stealing a glance at Uryuu.
“Pass your papers now”
I smiled ‘coz I could now do my “plan.” I just hope he won’t notice me. I don’t have any alibi if he noticed me looking at him. Yeah, alibi, I should now think of an alibi if ever he caught me looking at him.
Ichigo stood up from his seat. I don’t know where he’s going and I shouldn’t think about that right now. What I need to think about now is about that “alibi.” Hmm…I would say that I sometimes sleep with my eyes open but, saying that will only make me stupid.
“Orihime, come on over here” shouted Arisawa Tatsuki, my best friend. What a wrong timing to call me Tatsuki! I went to her place ‘coz I know that Uryuu will be surprised if I don’t go there ‘coz he knows that Tatsuki is my best friend. As I sat at the seat beside Tatsuki, I noticed that Ichigo, Asano Keigo and Kojima Mizuiro are seating on the floor behind the place where I’m seating. The 3 of them are holding a guitar.
“Teach me how to play the guitar” said Keigo.
“So what song do you want to learn?” asked Ichigo
“I’ll be there by Faber Drive” answered Keigo. Oh my! That’s my favorite song!
“Hmm…I already forgot the chords of that song. Let me think” said Ichigo.
“Nah, I’ll just call Uryuu, I know that he knows how to play the guitar.” said Mizuiro. “Hey! Ishida, you know how to play the guitar right? Can you come here and help us?” called Mizuiro. Uryuu went to their place and he also sat on the floor. This is the second time in this day that another “coincidence” happened.
“What’s the problem” Uryuu asked. He approached the 3 and Mizuiro gave Uryuu his guitar. Oh my!!! He’s going to play my favorite song!!!
“Ichigo forgot the chords of I’ll be there by Faber Drive. Do you know the chords of that song?” asked Mizuiro.
“Hey! Ichigo! Stop shaking the guitar, it won’t help you to remember the chords anyway” said Keigo.
“Just shut up, watch and learn” said Ichigo.
“No, you shut up and watch and learn” Uryuu said. “I do know the chords of that song.” He added. Then I suddenly felt someone lean on my back. As I turned around, I noticed that it was Uryuu who was leaning on me.
Thump Thump Thump
My heart beat is beating fast right now. I have to stop it or else it might explode in my chest
“Umm…Uryuu” He looked at me and he realized that the one who he leaned at was me.
“Ah I’m sorry” he said. As he was about to sit properly without leaning at me-
“Ah, It’s ok, I’m just shocked that you leaned at me. But I don’t worry, its ok” I said. W-why did I say that? He continued to lean at me and it only made my heart beat beat faster
“The 3 of you, sing the song and I’ll strum it” he said. He started strumming the guitar and the sound that he creates is the only thing that I could hear right now.
