Can`t we prevent further breeding and sales instead of "recalling" and killing existing dogs?
I don`t understand why it is still legal to seize a dog from its owners and family based on its (alleged) breed and have it destroyed when it hasn`t hurt or attacked anyone; regardless of its health, living conditions and the owners' capacity to care for and adhere to all safety and council regulations.
Isn`t that a bit like arresting then euthanising someone for being fathered (and)or mothered by a convicted criminal? And in the cases where the breed cannot be conclusively determined, it`s really like arresting someone for looking suspicious.
