The Missing Paper...
Who: Chuu and Yukina
Where: The Temples Kitchen
When: Sunday afternoon
Summary: Yukina looks for her missing paper that has her literature assignment written on it and finds Chuu in the kitchen. She decides to ask him if he has seen it...
Chuu picked a riceball and frocefully dipped it in the soy sauce, leaving several rice grains floating untidily to then eat the riceball. His hand reached forward for the jug with sake, peeping inside just in case someone had plced Genkai's buck teeth in his sake.
Yukina sighed as she put down the tenth book she searched through. Her homework paper was no where to be found in any of her books. Getting up she roamed about other peoples rooms searching for as well was the hallways before making her way to the kitchen. The homework paper had to be somewhere. But where? Upon entering the kitchen she blinked upon seeing Chuu. Perhaps he had seen her homework paper? "Hey, Chuu. I have a question to ask you," she spoke out lightly to him.
Slowly Chuu looked up, munching busily. "Allo shiela Yukina!" greeted and lifted his palm, rice grains sprinkled from his lips to the table -and soy sauce-. "What troubles ye?"
"It seems I've lost or misplaced the paper that had my Literature homework assignments written down on it. Have you seen it?" She replied, stepping into the kitchen fully. Yukina noticed that he was busy munching on riceballs with soy sauce so she wouldn't keep him for long possibly unless he had actually seen her homework.
Chuu prodded his large chin like thoughtfully. "How it look'd like? Cos' I hav seen many papers in the past day."
"It was a loose leaf piece of paper with drawn flowers decorating the sides," Yukina told him as she watched him, wondering now if he had actually seen it. "It only had the literature assignments on it as well," she added as an after thought.
"Yesterday ther' was nothin' t' eat, Genkai had to buy food like ningin's say, in a ningin store." he first explained.
"Oh, yes. I remember that. I was to go with her but I was still searching for that homework assignment and told her I'll get the groceries next time," she commented thoughtfully. "But what does that have to do with the paper?" She asked him, blinking slightly.
"I check'd the kitchin for prer'zels and ther was nothin. So I went t' Shishi's room first but it was locked! Then went to Suzuki's and it was locked too! Jin was in his room and Rinku in his. Kinda went to Touya and ther' was nothin'! So yer was empty and ther' was a paper that smelled lik' flowers"
She stared at him, blinking every now and then. She didn't like where this conversation was heading much but if it would help her find out where her paper was then it was best to listen to the whole explanation. "Oh, I see. And what happened to the paper after that?"
"Tastid good!" Chuu stated loudly and chipper.
"You ate... the paper..." Yukina stated after a moment or two of silence, her eyes slightly wide. So that was what happened to her paper! Now having found out what happened to it she shook her head and sighed. "Thanks for telling me Chuu. Now I know what happened to the paper..." she said lightly, sweat-dropping somewhat.
"Ya! No worries" Chuu replied in a gleeful smile and continued to drink."Ther are many papers in th' temple. Even the walls ar' made of paper!"
Yukina couldn't help but giggle softly as she nodded her head. "Yes, there are many papers in the temple and I'm sure if I buy a notebook I won't loose my assignments anymore." She smiled at him. "Thanks yet again, Chuu. I believe I'll somehow get the assignment once more. I'll leave you to your eating and drinking now and talk to you later, okay?"
"Ya" Chuu replied and lifted the clay jug with sake. "Want?" he offered the ice maiden, slightly wavering in place.
Yukina shook her head 'no' at the drink he offered. "No thank you, Chuu but I believe I will pass. I've had enough of drinking things when I don't know what they are," she replied, sweat-dropping once more, while remembering the time she went for a walk in the forest and found a bottle of whatever it was that burned ones throat.
