A difficult solution

Who: Koenma and Shishiwakamaru
Where: Genkai's temple
When: Saturday 5/12 evening
Summary: Shishiwakamaru asks Koenma for help and information

He knew Koenma was currently residing at Genkai's temple, according to what he had heard, the Reikai ruler had been punished for the robbery.
Kurama needed answers but he was currently in the body of Shishiwakamaru. He could tell Koenma would probably consider him a futile nuisance without importance... If only Shishiwakamaru had been more serious... Shishiwakamaru entered the temple, clad in his dark blue school uniform, those risen bangs now dangled calmly by the sides of his face and the ponytail had adopted the gracious shape of a fox tail. With one of his hands shoved in his pocket he approached to Koenma's current bedroom, according to Yukina he was there at the moment. "Good evening Koenma," he greeted.

Koenma had been working on some of his paperwork that he had one of his ferrygirls bring from the Reikai. At Shishiwakamaru's voice, the prince looked up from his stamping, frowning. "What do you want?" the toddler asked, raising one eyebrow. He hardly took the samurai seriously, and found him rather annoying especially because of the trouble the imp demon seemed to cause.

"I need information, your help," he explained rather politely for the moment ignoring the tone with which Koenma diminished him. "It is for the mission... I have been investigating using my imp form. As you might have heard, I was abducted by the enemy." He closed the door after entering and advanced into the room.

"I see. And what do you want to know?" Koenma gave the samurai a dubious look. He was a little taken by surprise by Shishiwakamaru's interest in the mission and the fact that he had returned alive.

"Regarding the mirror they stole from Reikai. While I was captured there... they had it. And I recall they were talking about using it. I need to know what powers it conceals and ... how to revert them. In the case they plan to target one of our companions." Shishiwakamaru silenced, thinking in his own words... he was sounding too suspicious and clearly not like the imp. He would have to do... something.

Koenma gave Shishiwakamaru a long look. Did the imp hit his head too hard or did the mirror have a strange side effect of making him calm, respectful, and.....concerned for others. "I am surprised you even care about someone besides yourself, pretty boy. Who has the mirror though?!"

Shishiwakamaru hesitated and gave Koenma the shadow of a proud smirk. "I have my reasons and I do not accept orders from someone who still wears diapers." Kurama winced at that statement. "Ani Toguro currently has it. Come on, tell me what is it used for, after all it is your human world, I come from Makai."

"You better watch your tone, buster!" the baby prince glared at Shishiwakamaru. He mentally winced at the thought of the elder Toguro having the mirror, oh his father would not be happy about this at all. "I wonder what is your sudden curiosity in the mirror is."

"They threatened to use it on me... when I less expected it. And of course they will do the same with other members of this mission," he explained simply and approached to the lamp. Against the luminous sphere the lamp was, the shadow reflected against the wall was not the one of Shishiwakamaru but it had a long wave of hair at the nape of his neck and a pair of bangs dangling before his ears.

"Hm... that could be troublesome but it only works if the victim is looking into the mirror," Koenma said matter-of-factly. He did not notice the shadow as he set his stamp aside. "If you are actually serious this time, I will have you and Kurama find the mirror. It is a dangerous artifact."

"What would happen if someone looks into the mirror?" Shishi asked, well, he would be working with his body.. it could result so troublesome. As if Koenma was doing it on purpose, but knowing the prince, he probably was.

"Nothing, unless your have the image of someone you hate in your mind. If that happens...the mirror will effect the souls of both people," Koenma said. Oh he wished his father had told him more! Of course the prince was pairing him with the kitsune on purpose, he wanted Shishiwakamaru to stop arguing with Kurama.

His purple eyes widened, so Shishiwakamaru had been thinking.. in him in that moment. How?... Why? Perhaps the demon had known and he did it with the sole purpose of pestering him. But he would have gone too far.. too far. "That could be troublesome.. and do you know if there is a way to revert it? Using the mirror in the same way it was used the first time... or is there another way to counter the curse? You know.. I prefer to be prepared in the case something happens. Same
with the others."

"I am glad you have managed to get over your little argument or dispute with Kurama," the prince remarked thoughtfully. "As for reverting, it is up to the two affected by the curse. All I remember is that only by trust replacing hatred will the curse no longer have something to be rooted to. Something like that."

His amethyst eyes lowered to the ground, submerged in his own silence. "I understand... the curse acts upon hatred... so obtaining the mirror from them and using it will not help to dispel the curse," Shishiwakamaru commented, once more adopting that calm mien so
unnatural in him.

This was strange, Koenma had thought that Shishiwakamaru would argue or question him. "No, it won't," the toddler said thoughtfully. Just want was wrong with the samurai?

"Very well", Shishiwakamaru replied and paced toward the shifting door. "I suppose I will ask the mangy cur to help me, even if I do not need him at all. But someone has to deal with Toguro Ani and his
brother. Though I want to know if there is any other side effect in the curse, I always prefer to prevent my actions."

"I will speak to Kurama, I expect you to learn to work together with others without being difficult. This mission is dangerous, there is no time for you two to be bickering!" Koenma said seriously, his eyes serious. "As for side effects, I am not sure yet," the prince admitted.

"I would need you investigated such. And I bicker all I want because... " Kurama sighed, pulling this act was humiliating. "Because I am Shishiwakamaru".

"More like Mr. Pompous," Koenma remarked in a flat tone, frowning around his pacifier. "Don't make me have Kurama keep you in line." he said, turning back to his papers. Ugh, what a troublesome demon.

He scowled and gave Koenma a simple 'you are inferior' glance. "Just.. find the side effects of the curse, it is all I need for your mission."

"I will when I can. Until then, you and Kurama better find that mirror before Ani figures out how to get it to work on someone," Koenma remarked.

"...Very well," he mused and pulled the sliding door open to then close it once he had crossed. Shishiwakamaru sighed and treaded away. Koenma glanced up after the demon, frowning. How strange.
