Who: Ruka and Toguro Ani
Where: School Halls and in the art room
When: Wednesday morning, during classes
Summary: Ruka goes in search for a new nail file, and runs into the Elder Toguro...
The halls were empty and quiet. Well, would be quiet, if it hadn't been for Ruka's heels. Clacks were echoing the hallways, and an aggrivated look was plastered onto the enchantress's face. In her hand...was a broken nail file...
The small art class was significantly less quiet. The mutterings of a small yellow eyes man carried in the empty school. "Well we wouldn't be here if you'd have just listened in the first place." He said distractedly as a dug through a desk drawre. He'd lost one of Miss edith's eyes earlyer and seeing as he couldn't find it he decided he may as well find something he could make into a new one. After all, the old one had been sucked into the void that seemed to live behind the couch and also swallowed Ani's mummified chicken feet.
The day had definitely not been good for Ruka. Having woken up with a headache and back ache, coming to the school was the last thing she wanted to do. Boredom once again overpowered her, since no injuries or claims of being sick had made their way to her office. And now..! Her favorite nail file, as well as being her only one, had broken. "...damnit! I knew I should have stayed in bed..." Hopefully someone had a spare nail file...
Ani looked up from rumaging in his desk drawr when he heard someone else. it wasn't him, and it certainly wasn't Miss Edith. Who else would be at the school now?
Picking up Miss Edith he crept to the door and Peeked out, only to see the Nurse down the hall. "Fe Fi Fo Fum, I smell the blood of a ripe, young,..." he blinked a moment, not quite remebering who or what the Nurse was. He remebered her veugly from the tournament but that was about all. "whatever you are." He finished with a wicked grin.
Ruka stopped and glanced at Ani with a blank face. "...whatever I am? Excuse me?" she asked in an annoyed manner, placing a hand on her hip. And that grin he was giving her...something in her mind was telling her he was an insane one...
"Indeed" Ani replied easily, stepping out into the hall, Miss Edith dangling at his side, eyeless and being held by her chestnut curls. "Even I'm alowed a laps in creativity every now and again. 'Nurse' just didn't seem to fit."
Ruka's gaze fell onto the doll. She rose an eyebrow and questioned him, keeping her eyes afixed to the doll. "..aren't you a little too old for dolls?"
"Aren't you a little old to be so vain?" The shapeshifter questioned in reply as he glanced down at the nail file. "I mean, it apears to me that your youth is slipping away. With age comes... Well wrinkles." He whispered the last part like some awful seacret. "Of course, I'd be happy to help. You see, the trick would be to stop your hear beating... You can't age if your dead."
Ruka gave a scowl. If there was one thing she hated, it would be the word aging. "I think I'll pass...besides...I don't know where the topic of aging came from..." she said, flipping her hair with her free hand.
"Well, it would have come from you coment on age." He informed her easily "What a pitty. Not only are you dull you're also stupid." The shapeshifter grined wickedly then as he took a step forward "Then again, perhaps it's a good thing. The less inteligent the prey the easyer they are to trap..."
He swung his arms back and forth, much like a bored and inocent child, the doll swaying in his grasp. He looked anything but inocent thought with that wicked glint in his beady yellow eyes.
Ruka took a step back. This man was definitely creeping her out. 'And he works here?' she questioned herself mentally. She was beginning to doubt that he was even human. And that glint in his eyes... "Well...you mentioned help? I suppose you don't have another nail file on you..." she said calmly despite her chaotic thoughts. All she wanted was a new nail file...
Ani was certainly enjoying hismelf, more so than ususal. He always found it more amusing when he knew more about his prey then they did about him. It made things interesting. Still, he asumed she had to know something, being a part of the staff here, but she certainly didn't know who he was, if she did he would have expected a different reaction from her. Maybe a little more fear. Yes, he'd certainly have to work on that.
"Now that you mention it..." He began with a grin before motioning into his class room. "Right this way. I'm sure to have soemthing to suite your needs in here."
Taking a hesitant step forward, the enchantress slowly made her way closer to his room. She didn't know what this mad man's real intentions were, but she pushed that thought away, hoping he would do nothing...that dealt with her life, as he had threatened earlier.
There were a few abstract sculptures around the room and some art in other mediums. The paintings and sketches were the ones most obviously created by students. Portraits from the project he'd given before break were placed together on one wall.
Ani entered the room behind her, the door falling shut as the small man sauntered, or perhaps slunk, acoss the room. At his desk he slid open a drawr from which he began to remove various objects. A role of barbed wire "Left over from the holidays." he explained "ran out of ribbon and Santa deserved te best." Next he removed a noose, a strait razor, a macheti and a few glass marbles in a jar. "You never know what you'll need for art." he explained with a devious grin, setting Miss Edith down in favour of the macheti which he twirld in one hand as he continued to dig through the drawre. "I know it's in here somewhere."
Ruka sweatdropped as Ani pulled out the various items from his drawer. Eyeing the barbed wire, she gave a small, mental note of sympathy to whomever recieved that gift... "..take your time..." she said simply, seating herself on one of the stools that was near her. She then turned her gaze towards the door, trying to see if it was locked or if it was still openable, in case something...freaky occurred while she was there...
Other objects were pulled from the desk, including a bottle of mysterious, thick, red liquid and a glass jar of remains of questionable origin.
Finaly, a nail file was removed from the desk and Ani grined triumphantly. "Here we are. I was sharpening Miss Edith's fingers a few days ago, I knew it couldn't be far."
Ruka glanced back at Ani and his desk, now full of...interesting objects. A smile would have been seen on her face since a nail file was found, but a confused look took its dominance. "...you...were sharpening her fingers? What does the doll need with sharpened fingers?" she asked. Something in her gut was telling her she shouldn't have asked...
Ani's look of triumph twisted into something much more delightfuly wicked "Well you can't honestly expect her to claw someone's eyes out with blunt fingers can you?" he inquired as if it were obvious. Plus it's much easyer to strangle someone with there own entestines if you have a sharp object with which to get at said intestines. What's more convinient than ones own fingers?"
"..." Ruka remained silent. He spoke as if the doll was a living thing... Reaching out for the nail file, she quickly grabbed hold of it, and turned to leave. "Yes..well, I thank you for letting me use this...I will...return it to you when I get the chance..." she said making her way to the door. Not even waiting for a reply from Ani, she quickly opened the door, and stepped out, closing the door behind her rather loudly. Walking a good distance away from the room, she shakily placed a hand over her chest. "...oh my...what was THAT?"
