Meet Konayuki-chan

Nov 17, 2006 21:13

It
was cold but not snowing outside, looked like if soon it would. Keiko had a pink
coat with a puffy scarf and she carried a bag matching it. She went up the steps
of the temple, hopeful and smiling. She hoped Yukina was at home.

Yukina
was indeed at home. She was outside with Konayuki, her playful little kitten.
Giggling softly, she ran after her; Konayuki meowing playfully and ran before
pouncing to and fro before running again. Yukina had a light blue coat on with a
light red puffy scarf. She then had on a pair of light blue ear muffs on.
Smiling brightly, she playfully chased the kitten.

"Yuki-chan!
Konnichiwa!" Keiko waved her hand.

Yukina
stopped chasing the kitten and waved back at her. "Keiko-chan!
Konnichiwa!" She then jogged over to her before stopping, smiling warmly at
her. Konayuki ran after Yukina and stopped beside her foot to look up at Keiko,
tilting her head to the side.

Keiko's
honey colored eyes lit up with Konayuki, cutesy little kitten.
"Konayuki-chan is very cute and fluffy... like Puu but without having
Yusuke's big head" she grinned slightly.

Yukina
giggled and nodded her head. Bending down, she picked up Konayuki and held her.
"I have to agree with you on that one," she replied, grinning slightly
in return. Konayuki meowed and Yukina held her out to Keiko before she
questioned, "Would you like to hold her?"

"Thanks
but lets go inside, I know you are an ice maiden and the cold doesn't bother
you... but I'm human eeehe" she clutched the bag and bent to look at the
kitten from closer.

"You
are welcome and yes, lets go inside. Perhaps I could fix us a cup of hot
chocolate while you get to know Konayuki-chan better?" She said and
suggested as she smiled at her warmly.

Keiko
nodded, she did like hot chocolate. "That's a great idea" she followed
the ice maiden inside. "You must be happy with this weather and soon it
will start snowing" Keiko rubbed her arms with her hands.

Yukina
nodded her head, still smiling warmly. "Yes, I am indeed happy with this
weather and I cannot wait for it to start snowing. All the white fluffy, snow
will be great to build snowmen in as well as many other things," she said
lightly, as she took off her shoes and sat Konayuki down, who in turn ran off to
the kitchen. She then took off her coat, scarf, and ear muffs, hanging them up
onto the coat rack. "Are you happy with this weather?"

"Eee
I like summer but all weathers have something special. " she unwrapped the
scarf from her neck and hanged it as well. She placed the bag on the table and
bowed beckoning Konayuki with her hand. "I'd love to hear what you play
with the piccolo"

"Yes,
all weathers have something special," she agreed, walking over to the
cabinet and grabbing two mugs. Not to far from where Keiko laid her back, the
piccolo sat in its box, closed. Konayuki, trotted over to Keiko as she beckoned
her, meowing softly as she approached and rubbed her head against her hand.
Looking over her shoulder, Yukina smiled. "Really? Perhaps, I could play a
small song I'm practicing, if you'd like? And how is the triangle going?"

Keiko
smile, she felt Konayuki's soft fur under her hand and the long whiskers
"Not much... it's just a triangle to mark the rhythm ...all I can to is
beat it at certain moments of the song..."

Konayuki
purred softly, still rubbing her head against her hand. "The triangle is
also a very important part in the music we may play, Keiko-chan. If you look at
it this, everyone is working together, even with different instruments, to bring
out the beauty of the song not matter how many times or moments one actual
place," she commented, as she grabbed the coco mix and a pan of sorts. She
walked over to the fridge, opened it up, took out the milk carton and closed it
back.

"It's
a group work...I get it. I also think in the boys and the mission... have you
seen anything strange?" she asked cradling the cute kitten within her arms.

"No,
sadly I haven't seen anything strange," she replied as she began to warm
the milk up on the stove. "If I did, I would let everyone know... Have you
seen anything strange?" The kitten continued to purr still as she was held
in her arms.

Keiko
frowned. "No... not at all. I thought something would happen with the nurse
but she treated me like a normal nurse. Though her skirt was conveniently
short."

"Ah,
I see. And... so getting the vaccine went well, I presume? And... most of the
teachers look a bit scary, don't you agree?" Yukina questioned as she
touched to see if the milk was not exactly to hot, nor to cool either...
possibly in the middle of warm to slightly hot. She turned to stove off and took
off the pan and set about making their hot chocolates.

Keiko
stared at Yukina for a long time and nodded in agreement. "Yes, they are
... the Music teacher, the art teacher... have you heard him talk? How he is so
... creepy. His doll Miss Edith creeps me out.."

"No,
I haven't heard him talk much yet... but his doll Miss Edith does creep me out
as well," Yukina said lightly. She grabbed the mugs and turned about,
heading over to the table. She held out a mug of hot chocolate to Keiko, smiling
softly, "Here you go."

She
picked the mug with her hands and sniffed the delicious chocolate scent
"Arigato!" she sipped and licked her lips smiling. "It's great.
Would you like to play now?" she stretched.

"Do
itashimashite (You're welcome)!" She exclaimed softly, before taking a sip
of her hot chocolate as well, before sitting the mug down onto the table. She
nodded her head. "Yes, I would like to play now. Though I started
practicing with easy songs... so I shall play 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star'
for you on the piccolo." She reached over, grabbed the case and opened it.
She easily assembled the piccolo and she then grabbed the music. Bringing the
piccolo up to her lips, she slowly began to play the song.

She
heard the simple and child-like tune. it was cute in Yukina playing it so
innocently. Keiko sipped from the mug again "That sounds sweet Yukina-chan,
the triangle isn't a melody founder though"

Once
the song ended, she brought it down from her lips, unassembled it and put it
back in its case. She closed the case and put the case and the music back into
the middle of the table before picking up her mug and taking a sip. "Thank
you, Keiko-chan! And I bet the triangle sounds cute." Yukina smiled warmly
at Keiko.

Keiko
hung her head "bling, bling...."

"...Bling,
bling?" Yukina questioned, blinking slightly.

"That's
the sound! I have heard it so many times. I tried changes and pitches but
nothing... they can sound louder or not... meh" she sipped more hot
chocolate.

"Ohh.
I see," she commented before sipping more hot chocolate herself while she
thought for a moment. "That may be true but the triangle is possibly an
easy thing to play than any other instrument..."

Keiko
petted Konayuki's fur, scratching under her ears. "We could practice if we
had an idea of what to play... but the way, how have things been in the
temple?"

Konayuki
purred softly as Keiko petted her fur and scratching under her ears. Yukina
nodded her head lightly and took a sip of hot chocolate. "Yes, we could...
and things have been great in the temple, save for Shishi and some others moving
out. And how have things been going with you and whatnot?"

"I'm
worried for Yusuke and the boys. Have you seen each one is like on their own
world?" she commented frowning and sipped.

Yukina
frowned for a moment before the frown disappeared as she shook her head.
"No, I haven't actually. Usually, when I'm around they are normal and
seemingly not in their own world. Why? Have you seen each one look like they
were on their own world?" She replied softly, sipping her hot chocolate.

"Yusuke,
Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei, they were a group a team..." she pouted.

Yukina
thought back to the Dark Tournament for a moment or two before nodding her head.
"Yes... they were a group.. a team. I hardy see them together anymore... do
you?" She questioned softly.

"It
worries me they are so spread... divided. meh... maybe its
just me..."

Yukina
took a few more sips of her hot chocolate, before saying sadly, "It does
seem that they are divided... I haven't seemed to put any of the pieces together
until you asked me that question, Keiko-chan..."

"Do
you think we should go and ask them? I can talk to Yusuke about it" she
proposed finishing the mug.

"I
think we should but... do you think they would give us answers? What if they
are... battling their own single problems and does not want anyone to know about
them?" She questioned softly, slowly finishing up her mug of hot chocolate.

"That's
a wise way of thinking it, but we are their friends, we area group not two
different things..." she looked up from Konayuki to Yukina. Worried,
determined.

"Yes,
we are their friends... we are a group. And I think we as a group should stick
together, even through the toughest of times..." she said lightly as she
nodded her head, looking up from her mug to Keiko. She showed her own worry...
her own determination. They were the best of friends, a team... wasn't they to
stick together even at their most weakest of times?

"Thank
you Yukina-chan" she placed Konayuki on the couch and hugged the koorime
girl. "We are still a team"

She
smiled softly and hugged the girl in return. "You are very welcome,
Keiko-chan!" She nodded head in agreement, "Yes, we are still a
team!" Konayuki stretched and laid down, closing her eyes.

yukina, keiko
