Juuuust a quick one before bed....
☆ Found my first Geocache on Monday night, but forgot to bring a pen with me, so I wasn't able to log it until this evening. It was fun, though. I downloaded a geocaching-oriented gps mapper onto the phone I use for PokeGo, so it's basically hitting two birds at once. Works pretty well, too.
☆ Caught a Slowpoke while I was out, near the cache. :D This was a new one. I've seen them on the tracer in this location a couple of times, so it looks like it might be a reliable place to catch them. We'll have to see. Recently, I've been going out without catching anything in mind - vibration turned off - because I just want to hatch allll these eggs, but I might make an exception for something like that, since it doesn't show up often.
☆ Have to go downtown on Friday to get my passport sent in for renewal. Apparently they moved the Service Canada office away from the provincial building; now it's some whackadoodle place, I don't even know... WELL looks like finding it might be an adventure. But that's okay. The location is past that park with the geocache in it, the one where I looked twice and got so many mosquito bites. Maybe this time I'll actually be able to find it, or at least figure out which tree out of many the cache is supposed to be in.
☆ Finished my fic for
rarepairfest. ...I had intended to have it on last Saturday, but I got stuck on the ending. So glad that it's finished now, though! I'll probably end up tweaking it over and over up until fics are revealed, but at least it's in. (It's a perfectly acceptable fic, mind you, I just - keep feeling like I should poke at it more.) Maybe now that it's finished, I'll be able to relax and get some personal writing done.
☆ My mate Scout threw together a doodle of me as an exhausted peacock and Let Me Tell You, that is a 100% accurate description of yours truly, most days.
☆ I leave for Victoria in just a few days. AAAAHHH!!!! I'm so excited to go. And I'm so excited to meet up with Aki! <3 This's gonna' be good.
