It rained, and rained, and rained all day (and most of the previous night). Parts of the city experienced pretty bad flooding - of the "deep enough to paddle a canoe down the street" kind (voila). Apparently one person decided to jet ski down the road... you do you, buddy.

Anyway, there were roads closed, and barricades put up, and since the parents were in Athabasca for the weekend, I got a panicked call asking if there was any flooding in the basement... But we were high and dry up here, which was good. All I had to deal with was the inconvenience of being stuck inside and feeling like a lethargic lump. ;p

Upside is, Grand Budapest Hotel is not a bad film to watch on a grey, rainy day. It's so... brightly-coloured, and a little bit absurd, and charming, even when awful things are happening. It's one to put on the "watch again some time" list, I think. I'm not sure if I like it more than The Darjeeling Limited, but it's been a while since I've seen that one. Due for a re-watch?

The rain calmed down a while after supper, so I went out - though thankfully I remembered to take my waterproof jacket, because it started up again as soon as I left the house. Just drizzly, though, so not too bad. I managed to hold a gym for a full half an hour, which is probably my best record so far. Goes to show that most people aren't up for Pokemon Go when the weather is so bad. (Though Valor kicked me out after a while, of course, but... still.)
