Errr okay, what have I even been doing... (NOT MUCH)
✿ Weekend was nice. Finally made it to writing club, after several weeks of not being able to go due to sickness, cancellations, and power outages (wtf). There were just two of us that day, but it was hella' productive. I finished the draft for one fic I was working on, which is great because it's due in early April. Now I can get started on exchange treats - and I'm glad that I can begin them relatively early, because one of them kind of acquired a plot, and well....
✿ Unfortunately, I keep getting ideas for things, oops. My doc of ideas keeps getting longer and longer. This... is a problem. (It's a good problem to have, mind you, but. Er. Well.)
✿ I finally got started on a project using the yarn that Mélusine sent me for Christmas! (It was some gorgeous dark blue Malabrigo Arroyo, don't know if I mentioned that before. Holy shit, this stuff knits like a dream.) Aaand... it's a scarf, and I don't need any more scarves, but this one's going to be very lightweight. It's this one: Curiosity I figured that, were I to use it, I'd want it to be on something that I would find relaxing and easy to knit, not something frustrating like mittens or... anything in the round, really. So far, this one involves just enough shaping to be interesting, while at the same time it isn't too challenging. But I'm not very far into it yet.
✿ While knitting, I've been watching the TV adaptation of Stephen King's The Dead Zone. It's one of my favourite King novels, and I love the film as well, so I was cautiously optimistic about this. I'm only two episodes in, but I really like it so far, which is promising (though, 6 seasons? Really? I can't imagine one would be able to stretch it out that long... then again, it's been a while since I read the novel and I've forgotten a lot about it, maybe there is a place one could insert things...) I've likely mentioned before that I am definitely not a television person. And this is still true. But like, hey, if I'm knitting, I need something to watch/listen to, preferably something in English, so....
✿ Life is a pain in the ass right now and it's making me kind of cranky, but I will pull through. And in the meantime will, uh, attempt to stay cheerful in spite of everything. Yeah! :D
