(no subject)
✿ Canada Day was nice, in spite of the fact that it's still smokey and the neighbours were partying so hard last night that I didn't get a single wink of sleep. Since there wasn't as much smoke today as yesterday, I was able to get outside a little. Feels good.
✿ I finished that Redtail's Dream fic I was working on. It's at my archive and on Ao3 too. Still not sure about some things, but since I was unlikely to get a beta for anything characterization-related, I decided to say "screw it" and just post it, with a note that I'm interested in discussing characterization. That's the best I can do under the circumstances.
✿ As I was finishing that up, I realized that this makes the third time I've used the same scenario of "character A has nightmares, character B comforts them and makes some kind of food for them". At least the third time. All in different fandoms, mind you, but it's kind of funny. I have no idea why I like this kind of setup so much; I can count on one hand the number of times I've had bad dreams (as far as I can remember, at least). OH WELL, I guess my subconscious just... knows what it likes!
✿ Finished reading Storm of Steel, have a few thoughts on it but can not brain. Going to start reading Terry Pratchett's Pyramids tomorrow.
