Reading Wednesday

Finished reading: Phantom by Jo Nesbø. It's a typical Harry Hole page-turner, though not one of Nesbø's better novels. Overall, not one I would recommend, though I'm not sure how I would rate it in the grand scheme of the series. One thing that I did like, though, is that there were a lot of callbacks to The Redeemer, with a few characters from that novel appearing in brief roles. Since I read that one recently, it was nice to see, and I hadn't really expected it because I don't remember much of that happening in The Leopard (though it's been quite a while since I last read that one).

Currently reading: Sourcery by Terry Pratchett. I only remember the vague details of how this novel ends, so it'll be an interesting ride on the way there. ... I must admit that even though I've read this novel before, it only just clicked that the sourcerer is called such because he's a source of magic. [/facedesk] I think this is probably even laid out explicitly in the book, but I didn't get it until now. Anyway. Not too many thoughts on this one, except I find it a bit less quotable than some of the ones that came before it. And I like Conina a lot. And I feel a little bad for Coin (though let's see if I'll continue to feel that way when I get to the end).

Reading next: I actually have no idea. While I have more Jo Nesbø to read, I kind of want to hold off on that for now. So, the next book will probably either be Pat Cadigan's Tea From an Empty Cup, or some nonfiction. Or something else. Maybe a saga? I think I have Egil's Saga floating around somewhere in my book piles....
