Ughhhh... I'm kind of dying from the heat. It's been ridiculously hot all day, and I just want to laze around in the basement and do nothing. Though I should go for a run tonight, I suppose.
I have a four-day weekend coming up, which was quite unexpected. Provincial holidays always sneak up on me. I should probably keep a better eye on these things; maybe some day I can use that kind of thing to take a few-day vacation. (Shopping trip to Edmonton, perhaps?) Not that I'd do it now, since I'm going on vacation in a month, but y'know.
Speaking of which... holy shit, I'm going on vacation in a month. I'm excited! And nervous. And excited. ... And very nervous. Aah.
Anyway. I was originally making this entry to say that I learned an awful lot about smallpox today, and holy shit, I am so glad that we managed to get rid of that shit. Horrible stuff.
I also learned a lot about medieval Muscovy, most of which I'm still processing. And that the lecture I was listened to kept bringing up the movie Andrei Rublev and it sounds really interesting; I might have to seek it out.
