Summary: It was times like these where they wish they could stop the clock from ticking or simply stop the world from spinning and just have the precious moments they are feeling with each other’s arms.
A/N: Okay, this is my first time posting a product of my crazy mind… So please be gentle with me…>.<… Hope you like it….
~ # ~ Under The Rain ~ # ~
It was a quite ride back home. Well, it’s not the usual atmosphere when they’re together but this silence that fills the car is simply comfortable. It was comfortable enough that Kazuya fell asleep on his seat leaving Jin driving silently.
It was raining outside and somehow Jin understands why his lover immediately fell past asleep. Kazuya loves the rain, especially when he can clearly hear it’s sound as it drops. He himself witnessed that side of him long time ago.
And seeing that peaceful face of Kazuya in his quite slumber, it calms Jin’s mind. He simply feels happy. Happy knowing that every morning his eyes would flutter open, this figure past asleep inside his car would be the first one he’ll see, sleeping beside him or maybe watching him while he sleeps too.
He smiles as he gives Kazuya a peck on his forehead.
Though there is a light traffic on the road they’re taking, Jin is not affected at all. He keeps on driving while humming to himself.
But as time passes by, the traffic got heavy and their car got caught on a jam. After a minute or so, the vehicles on the road are not moving at all.
He can’t help but to sigh as he can clearly see the exhaustion written in his lover’s face. Jin knows that Kazuya already wants to lay his back on their bed and sleep more comfortably, together with his fluffy pillow and soft blanket. That’s why he already wants to go home. But with this heavy traffic ahead of them, Jin knew it would take a little longer before they can finally go home.
Leaving the man with nothing else to do, he touches Kazuya’s face, putting some hair behind his ears and shoving away some strands that block the latter’s face from Jin’s eyes.
Then Kazuya stirs in his sleep.
“Sorry, did I wake you up?” Jin said palming Kazuya’s face.
He smiles then said, “No… Not really…”
He then kisses Kazuya again on his forehead. And releases him afterwards, but kept on staring at him.
“Oh we’re caught on a heavy traffic…” Kazuya said in a course voice while stretching his arms from a short nap.
“Yeah… this traffic started less than an hour ago,” he said glancing at the long pile of cars in front of them.
He was waiting for another comment coming from his turtle but then he heard nothing. So he glances to the right side of the car and was distracted to see Kazuya’s face looking outside the car. That beautiful face of him shows an unreadable expression. And that made Jin a bit worried.
He moves closer to Kazuya and caresses his cheek.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
Kazuya gets his hand from his cheek and intertwine it with his as he answers. “Nothing.”
“Kazu…really, what’s bothering you?”
Kazuya just smiles at him then look outside the window. And that earns a gentle squeeze from Jin.
The younger sighs. He knew what that simple gesture means. It is somewhat a silent ‘I want to know…I’m worried…’
“It’s just…” he then looks back at Jin’s direction.
“It’s just what, Kazu?”
He sighs again before he continues. “It’s just that I know I have something to tell you when I woke up earlier, but then I forgot what is it…”
Jin can’t stop himself from smiling. That was a very simple thing to worry about he thought, but then he knew that as long as Kazuya can’t remember that ‘something’ he wants to tell him, the younger guy would be distracted all day long.
“That’s okay, Kazu…”
Kazuya looks at Jin’s eyes and smile a bit as he saw the smile he always loves, but still he sighs.
“I know that I decided to tell you what it was but I can’t remember what it was…” he said then pouts even more.
Kazuya was starting to get frustrated about that ‘something’. Well, it’s not really a nice idea of trying to remember something that you accidentally forgotten after waking up.
Distracted as he is, Kazuya got a bit surprise when Jin hold his hand and gave him a kiss.
“Don’t pressure yourself Kazu… You’ll remember that ‘something’ you want to tell me so don’t worry, huh? And I can wait for what it is. So relax.” Jin said as he starts driving again, but he didn’t let go of Kazuya’s hand.
With that Kazuya just held Jin’s hand tighter and he can see that Jin loves it also for he can see the smile that was place in his lover’s lips.
They continue driving on their way back home until Jin remembers that they haven’t eaten their lunch yet. So he asks his lover if the latter wants to eat. He was expecting that the latter would want to eat on a restaurant they will going to pass on their way because it was one of their favorites, but Kazuya said that he just want a simple meal from a fast food chain that they will pass on their way. Jin feeling almost about the same about eating a simple meal agrees to Kazuya’s idea.
As they were getting near to the fast food, they notice that it was crowded already so they just went to the drive thru and get their orders there.
They were fine with the thought of eating their humble lunch inside the car, but then they passes through a park and Kazuya thought it was better to eat there.
“But Kazu, people might see us…” Jin said as he stops the car.
Kazuya smiles as he can see the other side of his lover that usually his side.
“Jin it would be fine. The rain just stop pouring and aside from that, the sky is still gray so there’s a big chance that no one would want to play here. So let’s go!” he said and excitedly opens the door of the car.
Jin can’t argue with his Kazu like that, so he just also went outside. But as he saw the sudden glow on his turtle’s eye, he is totally convinced that Kazuya’s idea isn’t bad at all.
Kazuya walks excitedly, a bit faster than the usual, to the swing with their foods on his left hand while the other one is intertwine with Jin’s hand.
Together they eat their lunch on the swing on that park, talking about the whole day’s work and laughing to each other’s stories.
They have just finished drinking their sodas when a tiny drop of water hit Jin’s arm.
“Kazu I think we have to go now. ” he said then look up the skies. “I think it will pour anytime soon.”
Kazuya still smiling looks at the now grayer sky.
“Do you think we really have to?” He said looking at Jin’s eyes with that hopeful expression in his eyes.
“Yes. We’ll get wet and you’ll be cold inside the car.”
“If you say so…” Kazuya then stands up from the swing and throw their garbage on the trashcan. And like how they get there, they hold each other’s hand while walking back to the car.
Jin knew how much Kazuya wants to stay and let the rain soak him, because he himself wants to bathe under the rain, just like how they usually do during their junior days. The only difference now is that he was the one not to agree with the idea rather than his lover.
As they got inside the car, the rain pours a little harder. They are ready to leave but then Kazuya said something.
“Jin,” he said looking at Jin while he held his right wrist. “I think I drop the bracelet you gave me last night somewhere there…”
“Wait here, I’ll go get it,”
But before Jin can unbuckle his seatbelt Kazuya stops him.
“No, I’ll get it.” And in just a second he was outside the car running back to the swing.
Jin though having a hard time seeing through the pouring rain, can see his lover trying to find where he dropped the said gift.
Kazuya on the other side is doing his best to find the gift through the pouring rain. He keeps on thinking where he might drop the bracelet when he looks up, he was just trying to see the sky but that image stirs something inside him. And at that moment, everything seems to fall onto their proper places.
And seeing Jin now walking closer to him makes his guess right.

Jin seeing Kazuya getting soak more and more from the rain started to get worried. If they only have spare clothes with them on the car, it would be fine. They can stop for a while and look for comfort rooms for his lover to change clothes, but sadly they don’t. And being exposed with such cold temperature in wet clothes, the younger guy would definitely catch a cold.
He was trying to reason out with his own mind if he’ll go or not. But then he decided to go to. So he starts to count from 1 to 10 before he’ll go outside, but even before he’s counting reach 10 he was already outside the car and together with Kazuya, he shove grasses and try to find the gift.
He can feel his lover’s gaze on his back as he continues what he was doing.
“Kazu, did you find it?” he asks but then there was no reply. Thinking that the younger guy didn’t get what he said he asked again, now a bit louder. But still there was no reply so he looks around and saw a beautiful scene.
He saw Kazuya on his feet looking up on the sky. His eyes are close as he feels the raindrops on his face. Maybe if somebody else would see that scene they would think its just a normal image and not beautiful as what Jin can see. But there’s something on Kazuya that makes it a beautiful scene.
Jin cant help but to stands up and close the gap between them, placing his arms around his lover’s waist.
“Hey, I thought you were trying to find my gift… But it seems to me that you just want to bathe here under the rain…” Jin said ignoring the drops of rain crawling from his hair down to his face.
He was so close to Kazuya that just a little movement, he can kiss the latter’s lips that look so attempting for Jin.
Just then Kazuya opens his eyes and smiles as he shows Jin his right wrist wearing the gift.
“Oh, you already found it…”
Kazuya just nods and together with his other arm, he place it around Jin’s neck and move a little closer.
“Jin”
Kazuya said in a low voice almost a whisper as he looks on Jin’s lips and back to his eyes.
“Hmm?”
“I think I already remember what I was going to say to you when I woke up.”
Kazuya said using the same tone and volume he used earlier while moving closer and closer towards Jin.
“Really?”
Jin, distracted by what Kazuya was doing, totally forgets that they were being intimate in a public place under the now heavy pouring of the rain.
Instead of answering Kazuya kisses him and Jin gladly returns it.
They stay just like that under the rain for a while, kissing each other passionately. Returning feelings towards each other.
“Now that I can finally remember… I really want to tell you my dream…” Kazuya said in between their kisses.
“So, what about it?” Jin asks as they part for a while to take a breath.
Kazuya leans his forehead on Jin’s as he answered.
“This is my dream…” he said then gives Jin a peck on the lips.
“Huh?”
The younger guy nods.
“This is really my dream… I dreamt about you and me kissing under the rain…” he smiles a he held Jin’s now wet hair with his hands. “In here… this is exactly the place that I saw…”
“Oh… So it’s like a déjà vu?” Jin said, hugging him closer.
“I guess so…” As Kazuya said that, their lips meet again.
Totally ignoring neither the idea that they were already wet and they don’t have spare clothes inside the car nor the idea of them kissing each other passionately in a public place under the heavy pouring rain.
It seems like they were just the only people in their own world.
They stay just like that for sometimes, just kissing each other softly and enjoying the moment… Forgetting the world behind them, a world where they can’t do such things where everyone can see they were so happy together, a world that tries to pull them apart.
It was times like these where they wish they could stop the clock from ticking or simply stop the world from spinning and just have the precious moments they are feeling with each other’s arms.
“Kissing under the rain is not a bad idea, Kazu….”Jin said quietly as he pulls away a bit to breath.
Kazuya was smiling to what Jin just had said but then he grabbed his hair starts kissing him again.
