Anxious

[It's been a while since anyone visited her shop. Yuu-chan runs a bookstore similar to Yuuko's store. Inside are books that grant wishes, place curses, and everything in between. People can see this shop regardless of whether they can see spirits or no, whether they have wishes or are content. They can enter it, too. However, it only appears open ( Read more... )

[She opens the door and regards the newcomer to her shop. The girl is clearly lacking something, she can tell from her aura. It screams sadness and her heart aches for the girl. She steps out the front door and rests a hand lightly on the girls shoulder, her touch light and strangely comforting. She's holding a lotus blossom in the other hand, though why is for her to know.]

Welcome, miss, to The Bookshop. [It's a simple name. She doesn't believe in fancy names for magical things.] Would you like to come inside and look around? Perhaps we can find what you are looking for. [She doesn't just sell books, she also helps people discover what they desire most. Whether she can help them with those desires has yet to be known.]

(OOC Note: She will use this greeting on everyone. This is her greeting.)

It is a store. [Yuu-chan inclines her head.] A special store. You require no money to look around. You might be surprised by what you find by looking around. [She cracks the door wider, giving the girl enough room to enter if she so desires.]

Besides, what I require as payment is rarely money. I make trades of all sorts. My clients rarely have the money to pay. [She smiles at this. It is partacially true. Her clients rarely pay with money, but usually because their money is no good in her world. She sincerely doubts the girl would have the right currancy even if she did have money.] It is up to you whether you wish to enter or not. Perhaps you can find what you are looking for if you come inside. Few people come here and all are looking for something from my shop and I.

[That's not true. You have sadness.] Yuu-chan thinks. [However, she does not reply to the girl's comment. Instead, she silently ushers her inside, a small smile for encouragement.]

You are most welcome, guest. I'm expecting someone later but until then I would be happy to show you around. You might find this place has more to offer than what meets the eye. [A mysterious air surrounds her, making her appear both wise beyond her years and childlishly playful. Her eyes sparkle. She leads her down the hall. The first door on the right is passed by. However, she stops at the second door and it slides open magically.] In here are books that help comfort and heal. You might find some solice in these. [She speaks softly, as though talking to herself. The lotus blossom in her hand shimmers for a moment and then returns to being a lotus blossom.]

[Yuu-chan is silent for a moment.] Deserve? Happiness is taken from those who need it most and those who deserve sadness are often given happiness through others' grief. [She glances at the girl and her face is solemn. She rarely schools others and when she does, it's best to listen. However some cannot take the lesson and run from it. She is not sure which this girl will be, the one who listens or the one who runs. It seems a cruel lesson to teach ( ... )

Is that your desire? [She stares into the girl's eyes.] I have a book that can help you find this person you seek. However, know that if you use this book, it becomes yours. Once you take a book from my shop, you can never use another book, no matter what the circumstances. The only exception is if you come back to return the book.

[She watches the girl carefully, closely observing her reaction to this information. She has chosen to embrace her future. That is good. Now she must chose how she will face that future. They can decide on the price later. Now, she only needs to know if she's willing to take a leap of faith.] Are you sure this is the thing you desire more than anything else?

[Yuu-chan watches her for a moment, before nodding curtly once. She turns abruptly and heads for the door.] Wait here. [There is no room for any argument in her tone. This is a command to be followed. She is gone for several long seconds before finally slipping through the door again. She is cradling an old, worn book to her chest. The lether binding is faded and the title is so worn its impossible to read. She pauses and steps forward.]

This book brings people together. Using it help you find him. However, you must promise me that you meant it when you said he won't disappear. I cannot let this book leave with you if it will erase someone. [She hugs it tightly to her chest.] As to your payment, all I ask is some of your sadness.

[Yuu-chan nods, eying her solemnly.] It is a fair price. Will you give me some of your sadness? It has more value than you know.

[Yuu-chan appraoches her but hesitates.] I should warn you. You will never experience sadness the same way again. You will feel sad but it will be a light, distant feeling. Are you alright with this? Once the price is paid, it can not be unpaid. The book will belong to you and will lead you to the person you desire to meet, whoever they might be.
