BOO!
Why I guess it's time for my bi-annual Livejournal post. How about another one of those delicious life updates? Good!
I'm still working at that government analysis company. At nine months this is officially the longest I've ever held a job. Now that isn't because I'm some alcoholic loser who can't keep a job, it's just all of them before were either summer or seasonal work.
On the 6th of January I wrecked my car. Turning left out of my neighbor hood I thought I was clear but SURPRISE there was one last car hiding behind the car which was also turning into the neighborhood. So I got T-boned, and long story short my car was declared a total loss. Aside from a bruised left side which doesn't seem to want to get better I'm fine though. Just a couple days later the fan on my graphics card, which had been slowly dying since October, finally gave up the ghost. It wasn't a very good week for me...
But yesterday LIFE PROMBLEMS NUMBER 1 and 2 both got taken care of. Between my savings and the insurance check, and a tiny bit of financing I've purchased a nearly new 2009 Ford Fusion with just 7.5K miles on it. It's a real beauty, and assuming I don't wreck this one too I'll last me for quite a few years. Maybe I'll post some pictures. I had far less trouble replacing a a car then I did a $150 graphics card. HP did send a replacement card last December... with one that was only 1/4 as powerful (128MB when I asked for a 512) and attempt #2 was met with slow response and no promised callbacks. So this past weekend I send HP what is quite possibly the rudest email I've ever written in my life and guess who should call the next day~ I'll have my new card in just a few days - the RIGHT card this time.
You can now accurately call me Uncle Yutz. My older brother had his little girl last week which they've named Victoria. I plan to be the bad influence in her life :D.
GAMES: A decade after it started rolling, I've hopped on the Metal Gear Solid bandwagon; I bought that trilogy set. I just beat the first one - come for the fun gameplay, stay to mock the badly written story. I've just started on MGS2 and have just reached the point where I start playing Mr. FABULOUUUUSSSSSSSSS. And that's about it. l8r.
