They rode the Ferris wheel and were able to see the amazing view of the sun setting in the ocean. Yuto looked at Ryosuke, a smile painted on his face. Ryosuke looked breathtaking under the sunlight. True that he got a little crush on Ryosuke even before when they were on the orphanage but he never really thought that once he sees him again, his feeling will root deeper than before.
“Ryo-chan,” He called the other’s attention who is now readying to get off.
“Yes, Yuto-kun?”
“Would you be mad if I’ll tell you a secret?” Yuto asked and the later frowned.
“Uh… it depends on what secret it is-“ Ryosuke replied, still frowning.
“I-“ Yuto paused, contemplating whether to confess or not. “I li-“ The feriswheel stopped and they were on the bottom again. as soon as the door was opened, Yuto ran out of the cab not looking back.
“Yuto-kun! Yuto-kun!” Ryosuke shouted as he followed behind.
Yuto ran and ran until he stops abruptly against a tree He looked straight yet all he can see are things spinning around. Ryosuke caught him on time just before his body falls on the ground.
Yuto woke up and saw the nurses all around him. He feels weak. Really, really weak. “Doctor-“ He croaked. “Please save me.” His voice is now turned in broken sobs begging the doctor “Please doctor save me. I still want to live. Please let me live. Please doctor. I’m too young to die. Save me!”
Not too far from him, Ryosuke cried as he heard Yuto pleading the doctor to treat him-to save him. But what can he do? He already took the test if he could be a match for Yuto. It was negative. Yuto’s mother came and stopped once she sees Ryosuke crying in the corner. She went to him, hugged him like any mother would do to her children when they get hurt.
“He will be okay, Yamada-kun.” Yuto’s mom assured him. “Yuto is strong.”

Yuto takes another test to determine the number of his red and white blood cells. He was refrained on getting exhausted, so he stayed on the hospital doing nothing-again. His face looks paler and paler each day and he’s getting weaker too.
It was Ryosuke who asked the doctor if they could go to the beach. The doctor wasn’t supposed to agree but it was Yuto’s mom who convinced him. The doctor said to call the hospital once something bad happens.
As soon as the two left, Dr. Ohno, immediately talked to Mrs. Nakajima about Yuto’s condition. “He’s getting worse. If we can’t find a donor as soon as possible, then there would be a possibility he won’t survive.”
“Ho-how long?” Yuto’s other asked, her husband holding her hand tightly.
“A month.” Both parents were stoned on their positions. “That’s the maximum. The amounts of leukemia cells are spreading so fast we can’t control it. Not even the chemo therapy Yuto is currently having...”
“Yuto-kun…” Ryosuke started as they walk side by side along the seashore. “What were you trying to say when we were in the Ferris wheel that day?”
“It’s-it’s nothing.” Yuto replied, speed walking.
“Unfair!” Ryosuke shouted as he catches up with Yuto and hook his arm on the latter’s. “How about, you tell me your secret and I’ll tell you mine?”
They sat on the sand, watching the waves go back and forth from the shore to the sea. Ryosuke still has his arms around Yuto’s arm, and he leans his head on the taller one’s shoulder.
“Close your eyes first.” Yuto ordered and Ryosuke did what he was told. He closed his eyes waiting for Yuto to say something but then felt something soft pressed against his lips. Those lips that were supposed to tell him what Yuto’s secret is. Yuto was about to pull away when Ryosuke leaned in resuming the kiss that was almost broken. They moved their mouths in synchronization, dancing in a melody that only them could hear.
It was getting dark, yet the two didn’t go back to the hospital. Yuto called his parents, asking them if he could stay a night with Ryosuke. His parents didn’t mind and it went beyond Yuto’s expectation because he thought they’d get mad for sure and order him to go back right away. They were still on the spot where they were sitting earlier, sun long gone and replaced by the moon, and the stars twinkling in the skies.
“You know, you’re really beautiful.” Yuto said which tainted Ryosuke’s face red ten times.
“I know, I know! You keep on saying that since earlier.” Ryosuke hides his face in embarrassment and hides it even more when his stomach growled. Yuto chuckles at the cuteness of his now boyfriend.
They left the sea and went to the nearest hotel to check in, and then ate in a restaurant. The hotel was classy and so were the food. Everything looks delicious that Ryosuke doesn’t know what menu to eat.
“Don’t think too hard Ryo-chan.” Yuto chuckled. “Choose whatever food you want to eat.”
One thing that didn’t change about Ryosuke after how many years is that, he still loves to eat.
As the food arrived, Ryosuke can’t help but drool on how delicious the food smells. Their table is full but Yuto doesn’t mind. He eats and watches Ryosuke eat because Ryosuke eating makes him happy. He can see how much weight the latter lost the past few weeks.
After their dinner, they went to the room they booked-a suite room, because as what Yuto had earlier said, he wants to cuddle. They dont have any clothes to change so they decided that they will be using the bathrobe for their sleeping clothes.
Ryosuke took a bath while Yuto was on the phone with his mom. He also called Ryosuke's parents to inform them that they may not ne able to come home. And they really don't mind as long as Ryosuke will be safe. Yuto told them the name of the hotel they're staying at so that if anything happens, they know where to go.
After 20 minutes, Ryosuke finally went out of the bathroom and escorted Yuto inside. "Just to be sure that you won't slip!" Ryosuke reasoned out.
"Awww, my boyfriend is so over protective," Yuto teased and Ryosuke's face went red just by Yuto calling him "his boyfriend".
Ryosuke mumbled words Yuto can't comprehend when he left the room. Yuto's smile dropped as soon as he heard the door locked and Ryosuke was on the other side of the room. He hurriedly turned on the shower as he bit his hand, muffling his cries as he slowly sank down the floor.
He heard them. He heard his parents and Dr. Ohno talking on how worse his condition is. To the point that he only got a month to live. How cruel fate is. Now that he found his Ryo-chan, now that he is finally his, everything like this has to happen. He still wants to stay with Ryosuke. He wants to live with him until they grow old. Adopt a kid and have a family of their own. He still wants to hear Ryosuke play the piano while he plays the guitar.
Why must God punish him like this? Did he do anything wrong to deserve everything?
He was crying for minutes already and calmed down thinking that Ryosuke might notice his puffy eyes and will ask him what happened. He can’t let him know he cried or else he will be saddened.
Yuto checked his self in the mirror and relieved his eyes aren’t as puffy as it used to. It’s still red but he can always find an alibi. He walked out of the bathroom with his robes on and Ryosuke was already squatting on the bed pressing the remote, changing from one channel to another. Yuto sat beside Ryosuke and the latter leaned his head against his shoulders while Yuto had his arm wrapped on Ryosuke’s waist.
They looked intimate though they’ve only began dating a day less. But then they’re not strangers and have always known each other. After watching few dramas, Ryosuke and Yuto decided to lie down on the soft mattress. They are facing each other chest to chest, arms encircled to one another trying to fight off the sleepiness to have more time together.
“Yama-chan?” Yuto called checking if Ryosuke is still awake.
“Hmm?”
“When did you learn playing the piano?”
Ryosuke looked at him, surprised. “How did you know?”
“I heard you when I passed by the music room last time.” Yuto chuckles,
“Inoo-chan taught me how.” Ryosuke buried his face against Yuto’s chest. “Before you left, he taught me how to play a very simple piece and I was about to make you hear it but you left. Then my parents noticed how I stared at the piano at home everyday so they made me learn it and I just did.”
“Sorry…” Yuto mumbled, playing with Ryosuke’s hair.
Ryosuke shook his head. “No need to be sorry, Yuto-kun. Really.”
“Play me a song soon?”
“Sure.”

But that soon is not the soon Ryosuke thought.
Yuto got discharged from the hospital a day after their trip to the sea. Ryosuke had been staying at Yuto’s side every day since both of them came home. It was still summer break so Ryosuke need not to worry about school.
Both of them were happy. But not until, Yuto started to cough blood.
Yuto looked at the handkerchief before looking at Ryosuke who had a worried look pasted on his face. “Ryosuke-“ He went closer to his lover and hugged him as tight as his tears started to flow. “I don’t want to die yet. I… I want to live together with you, Ryosuke. I can’t die yet. I can’t die…” He trailed off as his words were muffled by his cries.
Ryosuke wanted to stay strong for Yuto but he can’t. He’s too hurt seeing someone he loves hurt. “You’re not going to die, Yuto. You’re going to stay with me you hear that?” Ryosuke rubbed the latter’s back to comfort him. “You’re going to live Yuto. You’re going to live.”
They knew it’s too late already. Dr. Ohno apologizes as he revealed the news that there was no bone marrow to match Yuto. Yuto accepted it. But thinking that he’s going to leave Ryosuke again, breaking his promise again, that’s the thing he is sadder about. He already left him once. He doesn’t want to leave him for the second time.
Yuto fell asleep on Ryosuke’s embrace that night.
The next morning, Ryosuke showed Yuto two sets of suits. “What are these for?” Yuto asked and Ryosuke just smiled. “Just, wear it. After you’re done, come to the garden, okay?”
Then just like that, Ryosuke ran off and Yuto just did as what he was told to. He changed his clothes to the suit he got from Ryosuke and went down to their garden. And he didn’t expect what he saw. There was a red carpet leading to the center aisle, decorative flowers on its side. He saw their parents sitting on the seats. He also saw Kei, Yabu and Hikaru, and even Dr. Ohno is there.
Yuto flinched when an arm was linked around his and he looked only to see Ryosuke smiling at him brightly. The music started and the two marched their way to the judge. They exchanged vows, swore I dos, and slipped a promise ring on both of their ring fingers.
“I now announce you, husband and wife.” The judge announced, clearly hesitant calling two men “husband and wife”.
Ryosuke and Yuto turned to each other before they leaned over and shared a sweet kiss.

Ryosuke leads Yuto to the hall where a grand piano is placed at the center of the stage. He pushed the wheelchair up the stage before helping Yuto to sit on the stool in front of the piano. Ryosuke settled beside him. Yuto pressed the keys slowly with his pale hands, smiling.
“I wrote a song for you, Yuto-kun. I hope you’ll like it.” Ryosuke said excitedly.
“Really? I’m happy then. So you’re going to play me the song you wrote?” He asked and Ryosuke nodded. Yuto took his hands off the piano just to be replaced by Yamada’s. He pressed the keys softly, fingers bouncing and leaping from one keys to another.
“Ryo-chan…”
“Hmm?”
“You’re really the best thing that happened to me Ryo-chan. You’re the reason why I’m living up to this date.” Yuto said sleepily, eyes threatening to close.
“Yuto-kun is also the best thing that happened to me. Without Yuto-kun, I wouldn’t be what I am now,” Ryosuke cried, still playing the piece he wrote for Yuto.
“You don’t know how happy I am to meet you, Ryo-chan. In the future, someone will come to you who’s just exactly like me. And when that time comes, please be happy Ryo-chan.”
“Ne, Ryo-chan…”
“Yes?”
“Can I sleep for a while?”
“Of course you can Yuto-kun.”
“Just for three minutes. Wake me up after three minutes Ryo-chan”
“I love you, Ryosuke.”

As soon as the last key was pressed, there was a moment of peaceful silence before claps roared on the four walls of the hall. Ryosuke stood up from his seat before bowing down thanking the audience who came to his concert.
As soon as the curtains were closed, his manager, Inoo Kei, came to him and gave him compliments on how awesome his performance is.
“I won’t be here right now without your help Inoo-chan. So thank you too.” Ryosuke smiled at him gratefully.
“It’s great that I’m seeing you this happy now, Ryosuke. Seeing you smile like this after 7 years.”
The staffs were busy clearing the stage when Ryosuke felt the wind ruffling his hair. Wait. Wind? He frowned since there’s no fan in the stage and certainly, the hall is closed. Ryosuke stepped out of red curtain and sees no one in there.
His heart thumped when realization hit him. “Yuto-kun?” He whispered to no one. But he can feel him. He really does. He leaped forward not realizing he’s nearly stepping off the stage. He is about to fall when someone rushed to him and pull him back resulting Ryosuke to be gathered around a man’s arms.
“That was close.” The man said. Ryosuke looked up and saw something familiar about him. The guy has brunette hair matching the color of his skin. His body is not that big either, just average. His height is just the same about Yuto-Yuto-kun?
The man who caught him pushed him away slowly and introduces himself.
“Hi! I’m Takaki Yuya, and I’m actually your fan!”
And he can hear it. That melody of his heart for the second time.

So, a little background about the fic.
This is a chanbaek-inspired fanfic. (Chanbaek is an otp in exo fandom: chanyeol-baekhyun).This was supposed to be a fic meant to be written for ChanBaek when Yeol played the piano in one of the shows he is in. But then, i saw mysteriousgal11's post about the fanfic contest in fb and i decided to join, using the ideas i had for chanbaek and made it into YamaJima instead.
But i honestly have a plot already for Yuto having a leukemia and this was supposed to end happily where Keito, who is one of Yamachan's friend and also the 3rd party lol sorry, is actually Yuto's match donor. But, i looked at the criteria and there's a percentage of impact and i thought. making this fic angst will have a great impact right in the kokoro so it resulted of me killing Yuto (in the fic) instead. otl I'm so sorry for that xD if ver Micah will read this, now yknow why i killed Yuto xD
and i was writing this in the middle of Kris' issue about filing the lawsuit against SME,so yeah, i poured all my angst feels in here. nd Yuto's dream is actually inspired by TaoRis (an exo otp) happenings. yes it did happen. Tao calling out for Kris because he's scared in the shower. but no, kris didn't shower with him lol

Yuto flinched when an arm was linked around his and he looked only to see Ryosuke smiling at him brightly. The music started and the two marched their way to the judge. They exchanged vows, swore I dos, and slipped a promise ring on both of their ring fingers.
“I now announce you, husband and wife.” The judge announced, clearly hesitant calling two men “husband and wife”.
Ryosuke and Yuto turned to each other before they leaned over and shared a sweet kiss.

Ryosuke leads Yuto to the hall where a grand piano is placed at the center of the stage. He pushed the wheelchair up the stage before helping Yuto to sit on the stool in front of the piano. Ryosuke settled beside him. Yuto pressed the keys slowly with his pale hands, smiling.
“I wrote a song for you, Yuto-kun. I hope you’ll like it.” Ryosuke said excitedly.
“Really? I’m happy then. So you’re going to play me the song you wrote?” He asked and Ryosuke nodded. Yuto took his hands off the piano just to be replaced by Yamada’s. He pressed the keys softly, fingers bouncing and leaping from one keys to another.
“Ryo-chan…”
“Hmm?”
“You’re really the best thing that happened to me Ryo-chan. You’re the reason why I’m living up to this date.” Yuto said sleepily, eyes threatening to close.
“Yuto-kun is also the best thing that happened to me. Without Yuto-kun, I wouldn’t be what I am now,” Ryosuke cried, still playing the piece he wrote for Yuto.
“You don’t know how happy I am to meet you, Ryo-chan. In the future, someone will come to you who’s just exactly like me. And when that time comes, please be happy Ryo-chan.”
“Ne, Ryo-chan…”
“Yes?”
“Can I sleep for a while?”
“Of course you can Yuto-kun.”
“Just for three minutes. Wake me up after three minutes Ryo-chan”
“I love you, Ryosuke.”

As soon as the last key was pressed, there was a moment of peaceful silence before claps roared on the four walls of the hall. Ryosuke stood up from his seat before bowing down thanking the audience who came to his concert.
As soon as the curtains were closed, his manager, Inoo Kei, came to him and gave him compliments on how awesome his performance is.
“I won’t be here right now without your help Inoo-chan. So thank you too.” Ryosuke smiled at him gratefully.
“It’s great that I’m seeing you this happy now, Ryosuke. Seeing you smile like this after 7 years.”
The staffs were busy clearing the stage when Ryosuke felt the wind ruffling his hair. Wait. Wind? He frowned since there’s no fan in the stage and certainly, the hall is closed. Ryosuke stepped out of red curtain and sees no one in there.
His heart thumped when realization hit him. “Yuto-kun?” He whispered to no one. But he can feel him. He really does. He leaped forward not realizing he’s nearly stepping off the stage. He is about to fall when someone rushed to him and pull him back resulting Ryosuke to be gathered around a man’s arms.
“That was close.” The man said. Ryosuke looked up and saw something familiar about him. The guy has brunette hair matching the color of his skin. His body is not that big either, just average. His height is just the same about Yuto-Yuto-kun?
The man who caught him pushed him away slowly and introduces himself.
“Hi! I’m Takaki Yuya, and I’m actually your fan!”
And he can hear it. That melody of his heart for the second time.

So, a little background about the fic.
This is a chanbaek-inspired fanfic. (Chanbaek is an otp in exo fandom: chanyeol-baekhyun).This was supposed to be a fic meant to be written for ChanBaek when Yeol played the piano in one of the shows he is in. But then, i saw mysteriousgal11's post about the fanfic contest in fb and i decided to join, using the ideas i had for chanbaek and made it into YamaJima instead.
But i honestly have a plot already for Yuto having a leukemia and this was supposed to end happily where Keito, who is one of Yamachan's friend and also the 3rd party lol sorry, is actually Yuto's match donor. But, i looked at the criteria and there's a percentage of impact and i thought. making this fic angst will have a great impact right in the kokoro so it resulted of me killing Yuto (in the fic) instead. otl I'm so sorry for that xD if ver Micah will read this, now yknow why i killed Yuto xD
and i was writing this in the middle of Kris' issue about filing the lawsuit against SME,so yeah, i poured all my angst feels in here. nd Yuto's dream is actually inspired by TaoRis (an exo otp) happenings. yes it did happen. Tao calling out for Kris because he's scared in the shower. but no, kris didn't shower with him lol

She researched about leukemia, the types of leukemia, the curing of leukemia because she wants this to end happily lol and the death rate.She's the very first person who read this fic tbh lol she's forever the first judge of my fanfics because until now, i dont trust my writings. still insecure whether this is good or not but she's always there to encourage me that it's great.
