Summary: Yuto found Yamada crying in the kitchen.
Yuto hums some random songs while riding the bus towards his and Ryosuke’s apartment. He can’t wait to go home since Ryosuke told him that he’ll cook his favorite food for their dinner. Apparently, Yuto still got JUMP band practice that’s why Ryosuke went home first.
When Yuto got off to his stop he still can’t stop humming and smiling while walking towards his apartment building. Upon arriving to the building, he greeted the guard a “good evening” when he passed by him. He greeted the girl in the information desk when he passed by. He greeted the people whom he passes by and he even greeted the people inside the elevator when he entered it.
The everyday cheerful Yuto is very cheerful. He skips out the elevator when he’s on his floor already and bid goodbye to the people left in the elevator. He hummed again while walking to their apartment and as he stood in front of the door, he pressed the numbers for their room’s password key: 20040812, the day when they first met.
As he entered the room, he can already smell the delicious scent of the food Ryosuke is cooking and that made him hungrier. “Ryo-chan! Tadaima!” he said but no one answered. “Ryo-chan?” he called once again but no one answered. He frowned and walked towards the kitchen.
When he is approaching the kitchen, he can hear faint sobs and that made him throw his things to the floor and went hurriedly to Ryosuke whom he found sitting on the chair, covering his face with his palms, sobbing.
“Ryo-chan!” Yuto exclaimed. “What happened?” Yuto eyed the knife and the chopping board on the table beside Ryosuke. “Did you accidentally cut your fingers?” he asked worriedly but Ryosuke shook his head.
“What’s wrong?” Yuto took Ryosuke’s hands then wipe the latter’s tears with his fingers. Yuto then kissed Ryosuke’s forehead when Ryosuke still didn’t reply then gave him a hug. “Ryo-chan, what’s wrong? Tell me.” Yuto said once again and Ryosuke just rubbed his eyes.

Ryosuke who loves the way Yuto is worried about him didn’t say anything. He let Yuto wipe his tears away, giving him a kiss on his forehead, and he let Yuto gave him a hug. He loves Yuto’s warmth. Ryosuke snuggled more to Yuto but Yuto pulled away from the hug only to lean closer to Ryosuke until their faces are only centimeters away.
Yuto gave Ryosuke a short, sweet and gentle kiss and between that short kiss, Yuto felt Ryosuke’s smirk and then he knows he fell on Ryosuke’s trap. As the short kiss ended, Yuto told him, “Now, tell me what happened.”
Ryosuke rubbed his eyes again and said, “I was slicing 3 big onions and I ended up crying because onion contains sulfur and when you cut the onion, and the compounds released, they quickly enter the air in their vicinity. And my eyes produce tears because-“
Yuto stopped Ryosuke from explaining further how he cried by capturing his lips again. It was short, short enough that Ryosuke can’t even replied to it. “Stop the explanation, or else our dinner will be burnt.” Yuto gave one last peck and told Ryosuke that he’ll just change his clothes.
When he finished changing his clothes, Ryosuke also finished his cooking. While they were eating Yuto confronted Ryosuke as they were sitting across each other.
“Ryo-chan, please don’t do it again.” Yuto said in the middle of their dinner. “Next time, tell me why you're crying."
“Gomen…” Ryosuke bowed his head down.
Yuto stood up and went to Ryosuke. He lifted his head up and placed a soft kiss on Ryosuke’s forehead. “Just don’t do it again, okay? You made me really worried when you cried earlier. You already know I can’t stomach seeing you cry.” Yuto said as he is cupping Ryosuke’s face and the latter nodded.
Yuto went back to his chair and started eating again. He started a new conversation with Ryosuke and Ryosuke smiles as he sees Yuto happily telling him everything what he did during their JUMP practice and saw a kind of butterfly that he first ever saw.
Since that day Ryosuke put all the onions to the fridge and will cut the onions while holding it under a spray of water so that he won’t cry every time he slices the onion because it stings too much and caused him to get teary-eyed.
