Typhoon No 9
Today was No 9. I finally witnessed how powerful and disastrous it can get. No wonder the retailers have such cheap signboards. Coz when they get destroyed by typhoon you can install a new one easily without spending a bomb! haha... They should cut down on all those hanging signboards. So scary....
I stayed in the whole day and only went out twice, lunch and dinner. There were news about people who disregard their safety and went to the harbour to take pictures of the waves and typhoon.. huh?! Last night, my street was crowded coz people were happily hanging out knowing that they don't have to work today!
The reason why off day was granted is because the government is concerned about the public's safety. To prevent people from being crushed by falling windows or signboards, schools and offices are closed. If you can go out to see the waves, shop with your friends and sightseeing, then why not to work?
Ok.. very sour I know. Coz I worked from home today! In fact, I think I worked longer hours than I usually do in office! Whenever my BB beeps, I would log in to reply the email. Am I a workaholic! gosh.. But I've to say this Blackberry Curve is way better than the Pearl I used to have. There it goes again....
