so... I have entered relationship hell... not MY relationships (ha ha)... the relationships of those around me... on the one hand is that happily partnered girlfriend who spends half her time with the guy and talks to him constantly online. on the other hand is the mopey desperate girl who doesn't know what to say to/how to get the guy. it is, however, a fascinating to watch anthropologically.

Yesterday night, mission wolf came to Cornell and did a presentation in Appell. Their program is actually fascinating... it'd be awesome to be able to volunteer there for a few months. You should all check it out: http://www.missionwolf.com/. They brought two live wolves on leashes that they ran around the room. I, unfortunately, go their later so I didn't get a front row seat so I didn't get a chance to be sniffed/licked but everyone go to pet Abraham (so he's not 100% wolf, his head/feet are smaller and his butt is rounder/bouncier), the teenager (who kept trying to bite (lovingly) the handler). He was so fluffy ^^ their winter coats had already started to come in so they were about 3-4 inches long and on a run-by you couldn't feel the muscle underneath... just plush fuzzy warmth. We couldn't get him to howl but he did this sort of strangled gurgling thing which I later found out was him laughing at our pathetic attempts at howling ^^;; I forgot to bring my camera :(

So, I've been going to my chem lecture rather regularly, and then today, I forget to wear sneakers/bring the group snack for my gym course (right after chem) so I leave early to run back to my dorm and get crap and the prof decides that TODAY is the right day to hand back the prelims at the end of class >> grrrrrrrrrr DAMN YOU MURPHY... so now my TA probably thinks I skip chem all the time @-@ he already thinks i'm an idiot cuz I always forgot to wear closed toed shoes at the beginning of the year so I always had to run to change so I arrived late and out of breath (you have to climb 5 stories to get to the lab) AND during the first lab I used a rubber-coated metal holder instead of an uncoated holder over a bunsen burner >> and because the person before me never dries out the equipment I have to spend the first five/ten minutes drying everything so I get my stuff/finish after everybody else does @-@ my reign of chem lab incompetency continues!

but anyways...

MY GYM CLASS IS EPIC.

So we went tyroguing (not the pokemon... i just don't know how its actually spelled) over the gorge (kind of like a zip line except not so slanted/taut so you can bounce around the middle and do flips) and people kept walking by. There was a running club that looked miserable that commented on the sheer awesomeness of the activity. There was also a group of trustees dressed up in formal clothes who thought we said "tightroping" and came back five minutes later to ask "So you're actually going to WALK on that?" AND the most memorable person was a nurse and her husband. Her first question: Did you rig that up? Second question: Is it safe? (NOOOOOO.... We just hang off of it and bet who falls off first and whether or not they'll survive) Her husband expressed a desire to try it before SHE pointed out: But honey, you're afraid of heights! yea... fun.
