Unexpected encounters

May 29, 2008 01:59

Ahhh..it's been along time since I post anything in my lj.

Today talking about unexpected encounters and great music discussion.

A new friend and I were having a good discussion on music over a cup of coffee and scones. Midday near the catherdal.

To simplified things. (F-friend, M-me)

F: What kind of music do you listen to?

M: Many all kind. My interest covers from rock, pop, blues, jazz, folk, indie, metal, ethnic music, almost anything. A bit on classical.
What about you?

F: I listen to something like Sarah Brighton (hope I got this name right) . Actually only Sarah Brighton.
That is very interesting, why do you have so many favourites and what are the similarities you found?

(so many questions)

M: Similarities? none.
I just like them all. Each one give me different feel and visuals.
But I finally found someone who make my day simpler.

F: Hahah how?

M: By mixing up and combined all these genres, he produced something of his own brand.

F: Really. I would like to try your choices oneday.

M: Why oneday. Try it now. I have my mp3 with me.
(selecting the possible most appealing song since she only listen to Sarah Brighton...)

M: So?How do you like it?

F: Ahh..it's good, and the lyrics are very mature. How old is he?

M: It's a secret...

F: huh? *laughs*

M: Well he is in Visu-Kei so that is that. But he probably around 26 -27yrs old.

F: Really?! The lyrics are matured, could he be older? What is V-kei?

M: Maybe that is too *laughs* ~ V-kei? something like cross-dressing & stuff. Probably best not to know the details.
But that is only his coupling song. He actually produced something like this~usually.
(selecting the first hits number...)

M: So?

F: I like it too! Wow, this is good ^^

M: Really?! I am so glad to hear that.

F: What is the title of the first one?

M: you like it that much? it's Tsurezure naru hibi naredo. It's beautiful.

F: What do you feel about the song when you listen to it?

M: Me? images...what do you feel?

F: Images..? I dont know but the lyrics caught me. tell me more about your images..,that is very interesting.
Do you always see images when you listen to music?

M: Yes, if it's good, I feel , I don't listen. Maybe that is why I like so many genres, They all give me different feelings. But this guy
is brilliant. I am glad that I found him. His techniques stitches-up all the images I see and feel into one massive panting.
LOL (that is so vague).

F: tell me about Tsurezure..

M: I will tell that later.

F: Do you like listening to live music & gigs?

M: Yes, very much. I am not sure if there's any around at  present.
But this guy is going to have a show here soon.

F: Really?

M: He is promoting his new album. Would you like to come?

F: I would love too. Great.
(changing numbers)

That was it. We are very buzy at the moment and yet to meet up to discuss further on Tsurezure naru hibi naredo.
But I will probably write about my story on Tsurezure later.

Hope you love reading it as much as I love discussing it (that was just 1/10 of the discussion we had that day).
Good outings.
