Big Big Trouble
So I'm in really big trouble right now...
Sam and I got into a fight the other night, it was snowing really bad and she had gotten permission to stay the night out but her dad was mad about it, so I offered to take her home so she wouldnt get in trouble and she threw my car keys in the snow...my roomate came outside and told her that she could walk home, so thats what she tried to do....I hopped in the car several minutes later to go catch up with her and when I did I ran into a parked car...3 times...it was snowing so bad, i had lost my glasses, n everytime i tried to pull out and than forward i rammed the back of a truck. This was like 11pm btw. So the owner of the car comes outside and is very sweet to me, he says that everything will be okay if we could just exchange information and so I hand him my registration and he grabs my arm and snatches it out of my hand, he starts screamin and yelling, drinking a beer, accusing us of being drunk, he calls sam a tweeker, and some little mexican guy tries to take my car keys...now this guy has like 4 witnesses to my one. I felt unsafe waiting for the cops so we took off, now this is where i fucked up...when we made it back to the house i didnt call the police right away...i called the sheriffs dept. like a day or two later to see if a report was filed and they said no, well i get a call that same night from the police saying that he wants to meet up with me..im like "fuck, im going to jail"...he talked with sam on the phone n all that, she told the officer that she was drunk but i wasnt, which was a lie, we were both drunk but she was tryin to cover my ass, which means that since she told them she was drunk she no longer counts as a witness...so this guy has like 4 witnesses to my 0. I took a picture of the mark he left on my arm when he grabbed me to at least prove that he was being violent and i did have a right to leave to scene...but how do i explain not calling after I had left..I cant. I got a ticket for careless driving, and hit and run which is a class 3 felony in this state...I'm screwed, I can't afford a lawyer, and I dont know how I'm supposed to fight this without one..If I dont at least try to fight it than I could be facing jail time as well as lose my license...My car took most of the damage neways...the battery died the next day, they impounded it, and theres no point for me to even try to get it out because i would still have to pay to fix it and I dont even have the money for that..all my money is going to court fines. my roomate is trying to convince me to get a lawyer but i dont have the money for one..its either i cough up the rest of my money on a lawyer or I pay rent and continue having a place to live...I dont know what to do :(...I cant find a job newhere and one of my roomates is a stripper, im gonna go up there today with her to audition so that maybe ill be able to afford a lawyer or something :( :( :(
