Every members were still in the studio waiting for Yamada's return. Kota was checking on everyone, Takaki was revising his homework, Daiki was searching for another box of Pocky, Yaotome was flirting with Inoo, Inoo was....being flirted by Yaotome? Okamoto was playing on his guitar, Nakajima was observing a group of ants, Morimoto was busy with his DS, as for Chinen, he was still sitting quietly beside Satoshi, blushing at every words by his senpai. Everyone could hardly heared him mumbled a word after Satoshi's arrival. Just looking down, blushing, but still keeping his shy smile.
The door opened. Everyone looked up and saw the manager entering, followed by Yamada. No one was able to say “Tadaima~” in a cheerful way as they could sense the sombre atmosphere by looking at the manager's serious face.
Yamada was not saying a word. He looked miserable, not even stable in his walking.
That's the first time Chinen did not had his smile in front Satoshi. It's also the first time Chinen put other things before his precious 'Ohno-kun'. Leaving Satoshi's side by his own,Chinen rushed to Yamada and bent down to look at his face, “Yama-chan, what happened? You looked pale..”
Without uttering another word, Yamada hugged Chinen and was grabbing his clothes tightly, eagerly, “Chi!!” Obviously, he was controlling himself not to break down.
Chinen was stunned, not making any moves and letting Yamada to have his time to calm down. Satoshi noticed the awkward atmosphere. He stood up and walked closer to them.
Finally when Yamada calm down, he let go of Chinen and looked at everyone, “Minna...” All the members never left their eye-sights from him. Yamada's was shivering,“I...I...”
The manager moved forward and tapped his shoulder. He took a deep breath and announced, “Yamada-san will be having a solo.”
Everyone then sighed and returned to their position, “Don't scare us like that! It's not good for the health na~” the giggled.
“Yama-chan? Are you alright?” Chinen held Yamada and looked at him worriedly. He was sure that that's not all yet.
“It's different this time.” the manager continued. Every other members turned back to look at the manager with a confuse sign on their face, not understanding what he meant by that 'different'.
“Yamada-san..” the manager looked at Yamada who was about to cry. He sighed again, “Yamada-san will be leaving Hey! Say! JUMP after today's activity.”
“EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??????????????????” Everyone immediately jumped to surround Yamada.
“Manager-san you're joking right?”
“It's not funny~”
The manager shook his head, “I know it's hard for all of you to belive it, but this is Johnny-san's decision. Yamada-san will now be having his own singles.”
Every members started gomple attacking Yamada, “Is it true, Yamada?”
“You're leaving us? Really?”
“You won't be one of the HSJ members anymore?”
Yamada looked at everyone's worried face, still not able to open his mouth.
“NO.” was what they heard, but it's not from Yamada.
Everyone turned around and saw a little guy standing there with a smiling face. “Chi?” everyone said simultaneously.
“I know it's not true.” Chinen's smile got broader, “Yama-chan is just kidding ne?”
Yamada felt hurt seeing Chinen smiling that way, “Chi... I'm sorr-”
“Ne? NE?” Chinen's eyes turned red and watery, his smile vanished from his face, “Why isn't there anyone to answer me? Yama-chan is NOT leaving us RIGHT?” His tears was going to drop by any seconds now.
“Chinen-kun.” The manager spoke, “Yamada-san has no other choice. Johnny-san told him that there's only two ways. One, he leaves. Two, you leave. Yamada-san choose the former. That is his choice. You can't blame him on this.”
“This is so cruel... “ Someone whispered in the crowd, “It's just a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea!”
“No, I don't believe this.” Chinen refused to face the truth, “Johnny-san won't make such decision! He never ask any of us to leave! No!”
“Chi, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry! I Can't do anything about it.I don't want you to leave JUMP! I want you to be with everyone! Please, please don't be angry, Chi!” Yamada slowly stepped closer to Chinen, but the smaller member was moving backward to keep the distance between them.
“No, you're lying... I know Yama-chan is lying!!” Chinen half-yelled. Tears started to wet the side of his eyes.
“All of us are sad, Chi.” Kota Yabu, as a leader thought that he had to help in calming the little member down, “All of us don't want Yamada to leave. But Chinen you know that Johhny-san's decision is final. You know that.”
“Chi I'm sorry. Please , I'm sorry!” Yamada did not know what to do but to apologize.
Chinen back off again, “USO!!!” He yelled and dashed out from the room. His emotions was uncontrolable and he refused to let others to witness his tears fall.
“Chi!!” Yamada immediately chased after Chinen but was stopped by a large hand.
“You stay.” Satoshi blocked Yamada, “I bet others still have a lot to talk to you.” He passed Yamada back to the members, “I'll go after Chinen-kun. There's no need to worry about.” Then Satoshi jogged out the room.
Everyone remained silence for a momment. Suddenly, Yamada burst into tears.
“Why are you the one crying?!” Kota had seen too many tears today.
“I-I want to be with everyone...” Yamada sobbed.
“Yamada don't cry!” Even Yaotome wasn't good in handling such situation, “If you cry, you'll make us cry too!” Yaotome was about to wipe away Yamada's tears when someone smacked his head.
“Ouch!” He turned around with teary eyes, “Kei! What's that for?”
Inoo was sobbing while rubbing his nose, “Baka! You made me cry!”
“Kei, not you too!” They then hugged each other and heared each other cried.
Takaki gently embraced the crying Yamada, “I'm sure that I'll miss you lots. Keep in touch, k? He smiled.
When Takaki let go of Yamada, Daiki was standing in front of him, opening his arms wide and gave Yamada a big warm hug, “Call me out anytime you're free ne?” Daiki was surely sad knowing that his best friend was leaving the group.
Then all the 7's members hugged Yamada together. Yamada didn't hugged back. He was just standing still and rubbing his crying eyes all the time, “Minna...” Yamada's eyes were all red. He never stopped crying.
“Wait, where's Chinen?” Morimoto suddenly remembered that Chinen wasn't there, “He haven't gave you a farewell hug right?”
“Chi...” Yamada was sad that Chinen didn't understand that he's doing all those so that Chinen could still be with other members. Chinen refused to listen to him. That hurt him the most.
Kota sighed, “ Chinen can be mature at times. But he's still a growing child..”
“.... What about the photoshoot..?” Okamoto, who rarely speaks suddenly came out with a question which everyone had forgotten about.
All JUMP members turned over to look at their manager with red teary eyes, “ Let's put Chinen's issue aside.. How are we supposed to take a photo with THESE faces?”
The manager observed their looks carefully, “It's okay.” The manager said, “Johnny-san had expected this to happen. That's why the theme for today's photoshoot will be....... 'MEMORIES'.”
The members sighed in relief yet was still sad to face the fact that the pretty boy was leaving JUMP.
“So...” the manager carried on, “All we have to do now is to wait for Chinen to come back.”
