Chapter 8
“Yuuyan~” Yamada heard the squeaky sound calling. He looked around and saw Chinen running around in the room, searching for Takaki.
“Yuuyan~~” he called again. Not able to find Takaki anywhere, Chinen looked upset and sighed.
“Does anything matter?” Daiki softly patted Chinen's head, looking at the depressed boy.
“I want a piggy back...” Chinen mumbled, looking down while playing with his fingers.
Daiki smiled, “Well, you can always ask me for that ne?”
“E-ehh?” Chinen looked up, “But today's Sunday, Dai-chan will be tired for carrying me 2 days!!”
Daiki remained the smile on his face but his emotion was actually indescribable. So I'm Monday?? How come I never remember setting such schedule? Don't tell me Chi set that all by himself.. Omg, how cunning can he be?! And how can he be saying that with THAT innocent face?? “I-it's alright.” Daiki put his hand on Chinen's shoulder, trying not to show what he's thinking “I'm already used to giving you a piggy back. And I won't get tired that easily, so.... ne?” Daiki tilted his head and Chinen tilted his together with Daiki.
Chinen smiled, “Arigatou ne~ Dai-chan.” and he started clinging on Daiki. When Daiki tried to carry Chinen, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Chinen was shocked and let go of Daiki, everyone turned to the direction where the screaming came from.
“Uwaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Bwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!” it scream again and here comes Takaki rushing out from the store room of JUMP.
“Yuuyan~!!” Chinen smiled in delight, skipping to Takaki's direction, while others were staring at Takaki with curious and fear. What happened??
Chinen stopped in front of Takaki who was bending and trying to catch his breath, “Daijoubu? Yuuyan?” he asked concernedly.
After having some deep breath, Takaki pointed at the room he just rushed out from, “B-b-bu-bu-bu-BUUUUGGGGGGGG!!!!” he yelled.
Hearing that, Okamoto closed his novel and left the room silently.
Chinen couldn't help but burst into a laughter, “Na-nani? Nani? *chuckled* Yuuyan is afraid of bug??” he kept on hitting his own hips while he laughed.
“Stop that, Chi! B-bugs are creepy!!!” Takaki's face turned pale.
Nakajima the bug lover held his head high, “Did I just heard someone talking bad things about bugs??”
“Yuuyan~” Chinen put his hands on his waist, looking so almighty, “Us, human are much more larger than bugs you know?”
“But Chi~” Takaki could not stand his only weak point too. He did not know why he was so afraid of bugs.
“Daijoubu~!” Chinen tipped his legs so that he's tall enough to tap Takaki's shoulder, “Here comes Chinen to the rescue~!!” he grinned and rushed into the room. While closing the door, he smirked, “ I won't let this bug escape from my hand. You just wait and see.” then he closed the door tightly.
Takaki was standing outside, waiting. Yamada approached the whited-out Takaki, “Daijoubu?” he looked at Takaki's aimless eyes.
“Chi is much more braver than we thought ne?” Takaki sighed, “He had grown up... May-maybe he's even braver than me now...”
Yamada looked at the hopeless Takaki, thinking of a way to make him feel better. Thinking of the words Takaki just spoke, he remembered the things that happened during the class party and started blushing again.
“Yamada?” Takaki watched Yamada turning his face away, “Y-ya, Chinen is much more braver than he looks ne.” Takaki smiled bitterly.
Suddenly, they heard someone banging at the store room door eagerly, followed by the sound of trying to open the door desperately and some screaming. Everyone's attention was switched to the door AGAIN. After some more banging and screaming, the door slammed open and Chinen ran out with his watery eyes, rushing straight towards the first person he saw - Yamada.
“Ya-Yama-chan~!!!!!!!!!!!” Chinen cried as he hop onto Yamada and put his hands around Yamada's neck. The other boy was shocked but without any other choice, he was carrying Chinen in the 'princess way' or you can say, the way someone carried his bride.
“Ch-Chi??” the boy was shocked......and delighted.
“Co-co-COCKROACH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Chinen not daring to turn back to face the room, he placed his head over Yamada's shoulder and was pointing at the room while not looking at it.
“Yikes.” Yamada blurted, he hugged Chinen tighter.
Takaki was all confused, “Eh-eh?? Chi, I thought you said that you're not afraid of bugs??” he scratched his head.
“Yuuyan baka!!” Chinen pouted, “Cockroach are different than bugs!! Much different!!” and Chinen started to mumbled something by his own.
Takaki chuckled. He was happy and relieved. He moved forward by a little and gave Yamada a wink while the latter did the same. They were happy that their little Chinen haven't changed a bit.
Daiki sighed. He put down his job and picked up a piece of the outdated newspaper while walking into the room. 'SMACK' is all they could hear and Daiki came out and sighed again with a smile, “All done.”
“Yatta~!!” Chinen jumped down and hugged Daiki, “My hero~” he grinned.
Takaki also did the same. He rushed and hugged Daiki from behind, “My TRUE hero.” he giggled.
“Yes yes, I know.” Daiki sighed cool-ly but he was actually very happy that they hugged him and was smirking.
Three of them were sticking together when they heard the bug professor, Nakajima screamed again,with both hands on his head, “Ahh~!! Dai-chan!! You killed it?! You killed it?! Uwaaa~!!! I can't believed you killed a bug you evil!!!” Then he pretended to be sobbing, “Rest in peace, Angelica..”
“Angelica??” Yaotome got interested.
“It's the cockroach's name, baka.” Inoo smacked Hikaru's head.
“How can you named a bug so fast??” Takaki complained, still not able to accept the creeping creature.
“Cockroach.” Chinen corrected Takaki's mistake.
Okamoto entered the room silently again after hearing Nakajima's loud announcement of the death of the bug cockroach.
Yamada suddenly remembered Chinen's speech earlier and went curious about it, “Say...Chi..”
“Hmm?” Chinen turned to Yamada with his large puppy eyes.
“I thought you said that us human are much more larger than bugs... cockroach?” he asked while swaying his head so that his bang move aside.
“Ya.” Chinen's face straightened and let go of Daiki, “But cockroaches are larger than me.”
“Uh-huh.” Yamada turned his face away, How he wished he never asked anything.
“Where's Yabu and Ryutaro?” The silent Okamoto finally spoken.
“Why are we here anyway?” Yaotome got up from his seat, “I don't remember having any work today?”
“Yabu told me to come...” Inoo replied.
“You too??” Yaotome turned to Inoo and he nodded.
“Same here.” Okamoto said.
“Yabu-kun text me a message and asked me to come, that's why I'm here.” Nakajima tried to search for the mail in his phone.
“Yabu reminded me about today last night, but he never told me why.” Takaki voiced while tying up his hair.
“Me too.” Daiki said, walking back to his seat.
“He just told me something like 'we'll meet at the Jimusho tomorrow' when we left the practice yesterday.” Yamada explained.
Then everyone's eyesight switched to Chinen who hasn't spoke anything. He stared at everyone and opened his mouth slowly, “Yabu-kun.”
Everyone had a headache now. They shook their heads and exhaled. Yabu is the one who called everyone here and now he's the one absent? What about Ryutaro? What's going on exactly?

I was thinking of combining two incidents again in this chapter, but after that I thought that it was too long so I change my mind. This is my first time ending a chapter in a suspense way, ne? ne? XD
Ohya, that 'warning: death for something' was just trying to make it sounded interesting... (yes, that 'something' is referring to the cockroach..') dun be mad, ne?
