Lonely I, lonely love you,
Lonely I, surrounded by nothing,
Lonely I, pieced and waiting,
Lonely I, cursed without you.
He did not know where to go, he did not know where to hide, he simply standing on his feet, eyes halfway shut due to the morbid pain. The orbs which simply reflect sorrow, sadness, loneliness glued to the ground with fists clenched on both side. Teeth gritted in frustration, breath gradually started to get heavier by each torturous second.
As though it was magic, his feet slowly making his step toward the front doorーheartbeat seemed to be going wild as nervousness can be rushing through his arteries and veins. He hesitated at first, but then his arm lifted and he slowly pounded on the wooden door.
A faint sound of 'thud' reached through his ears, and soon a padding feet gradually became louder. A soft click on the wooden door, before it creaked and a head peaked out, eyes widened in disbelief as though he saw a ghost.
“C-Chinen!”
A faint smile which didn’t quite reach the house owner's eyes crept up to his pale face. He was tremendously tired, from all the things he had been through.
“Ryutaroー”
The small figure stumbled forward recklessly as if he didn’t care if this person was willing to catch him; which the latter did. Ryutaro stared at the weak boy in his arms. The color from his adorable smile which he usually brought to Ryutaro was somewhat dying. He seemed so weak, so vulnerable, and soーfragile.
Bruises were almost everywhere on the small body, some of them were still new, others are old but it was still there. Jagged and clean through ones, deep and shallow ones, thick and thin ones. Clothes were mixed with dirt and mud completing his suspicions on his beloved friend. He was abused. He could confirm that. But who would do such horrible things?
He slowly lifting him from the ground, adding weight to him; which surprisingly wasn’t that much, not that he ever noticed about him but he definitely wasn’t this light before. Feet slowly made to his bedroom before gently putting his friend on the soft mattress.
He tenderly treated the wounds on his friend's body. It seemed like his friend never tried to heal it before; as there was only a blood-stained bandage wrapped around the upper leg and arms. He gradually rubbed the wounds with an alcohol contained cotton, before adding bandages here and there. Small hisses of pain could reach his ears from even the slightest touch. Ryutaro comforted with a tender 'shh'.
After the treatments was over, he perpetually gazing on the soft and pale skin of the boy before him, mildly soft breathing invading the cold silence. Dimmed light from the lamp on the nightstand tainted the sleeping boy's features.
As he stripped down to his boxers, he quickly climbed up to the bed and settled down with a sigh. Arms unconsciously wrapped around his friend's waist; almost protectively. His lips curving upwards in contentment as he felt the smaller boy snuggled closer. Letting the two of them shared the warmth they had for each other.
Chinen woke up with heavy eyelids, blindness caught through his iris as he blinked a few times, adjusting with the sunrays that unashamedly crept through the semi-open curtains. His eyes shot open, as he straightened on his bed; sending a painful shot emanated from the new wounds he got from yesterday. He shook his head before memories started to haunt him again.
A faint smell coming from outside the room caught up to his nostrils as he fully observed the room. It wasn’t his bedroom, obviously. Something snapped inside his head as a vague memory came up rushing through. Recalling what had happened last night, he mentally slapped his head as he inwardly cursed himself perpetually for being such a stupid person.
A door creaked out open as a tall figure came in sight; he smiled brightly. “Chinen! Finally you’re awake! Come!”
As a responsive nod was given to him the said boy returned to the kitchen. Chinen gazed at his friend, chuckling at the thought of how much the apron fit him. Then getting on his feet he soon rose up and walked towards the kitchen.
Lonely I, sit and think,
Lonely I, was before I met you,
Lonely I, hopeless still love you,
Lonely I, pain and nothing.
“Sit.” The house owner ordered as he put an empty plate down tenderly.
Chinen walked towards the kitchen and sat on one of the chairs, waiting for the taller boy to start asking questions from last night. Which he didn’t really want to talk about at the moment.
He put a bottle of maple syrup which was nearly half-empty and a nicely cooked pancake on the plate. The guest of the house' eyes was fully occupied on the food. It was seemed to be the most delicious pancake in the universe. Ryutaro almost smiled in delight to be getting those responses from the shorter one.
“Dig in.”
Chinen took the offer almost immediately and dug the fork inside the pancake. He sliced it in half before stuffed it into his mouth. Sunrays quite adding brightness inside the kitchen as a big 7 inches tall window was standing proudly behind the shorter boy, Ryutaro fully observed Chinen. He was thinner than before, somehow making him smaller. His hair was a mess, but it added the wildness to the boy. Skin was definitely paler than before, almost looked like zombies. His facial expression was mixed with tired, confusion, sad, sorrow and so much other things.
“Is it good?”
The smaller boy nodded slightly as his lips curling up into a smile. It was not a real smile; neither was it a half-hearted smile. It was those smiles that you show during your pain, and happiness; which was divided by a thin invisible line.
Ryutaro sighed in relief, before a smile of contentment reached out through the younger one's lips. Although no words were spoken, he was glad. He was certainly glad.
“How's..everyone?” Asked Ryutaro questioningly. A brief pause of Chinen's current eating activity was there, but then there's that smile again.
“They’re okay.” A slight hoarsed and quiet voice came out from the thin pale lips of his.
“I see.” Ryutaro responded with a smile. “And uh..how're things between you and Yama-chan?”
Answer was anxiously still being waited, but Chinen just kept eating; somewhat fully ignored the last painful question. He wished he could tell Ryutaro. He really wished he could tell him about everything. But yet something just stuck on his throat. He couldn’t and wouldn’t tell him anything.
God knows what Yamada would do if he told him.
“He’s okay”
The last word sounded barely like a pain-filled whisper.
Lonely I, in the darkness,
Lonely I, with my tears,
Lonely I, sorrow and hate,
Lonely I, is this my fate?
Ryutaro gazed at the pained expression on his friend, whose body slightly trembling. His bottom lips quivering, bangs shielding his empty eyes.
“What’s wrong?” He tapped on his shoulder, wondering if he had said something wrong.
“R-Ryutaro..” He called out, almost sounded like choking sobs. “Can you just..hold me?”
Ryutaro's worried face turned spontaneously into a relief one. His lips curling up into a soft and tender smile, before wrapping his arms around the small body before him.
Letting the small frame touched his,
Letting the small boy's head resting on his chest, hearing his steady heartbeat.
Let him hear the calm breathing rested amongst them.
Chinen couldn’t feel more than content, cozy, protected, and loved. He loved how people hug him like a teddy bear, but it was entirely different matter to this kind of 'hug'. This one contained a lot of emotions. And no, Chinen wasn’t in love with his friend. He was just enjoying his company.
But then, maybe he was just in denial.
Sidenotes: Hey, there! No it isn’t over! Duncha worry! :) cause I'll make the sequel pretty much soon! I'll probably update the next/last one in two days, or so. Please bear with me if it sucked ;A; I’m still learning ;w;
