Sooo, next big project is going to be reindeer blanket and one of the plain Gokstad beds for camping. Goal is to get it done by Moorish Tavern so I can go and enter the period encampment challenge. Which I'm excited to do.
Though really, I made a terrible discovery, and that is that there is a Gokstad master bed like the Oseberg one, and it MATCHES THE TENT. OH NOOOO!!! So, that got added to the list. Not to be done by Moorish though, Just throw together one of the plainer beds out of pine. But hopefully will make a large straw mattress. With the reindeer pelt blanket over that (since I will have four reindeers. Comfiest. Bed. Ever.
The biggest problem with this is that since I have to make the bed big enough for two, one of those two being the jolly green giant (.... <3 you) it has to be at least six feet long. Which of course, will not fit the long way in the tent. So it'll hog most of the tent space. Fooey. Clearly I just need a circus tent like Vlad and Petranella have.
