You usually seem to just take a peice of something and latch on, then you focus on it like mad when it has nothing to do with really getting anywere. You did bring that up, and just because children are not aware of what they want from life or retain the memory of the past does not mean that there're personality isn't developed yet. Memories may not be remembered by the consious mind but the principle is always retained by the subcouncious. Don't mess with the scientist. How come you are such an expert on people, when you don't even have the curage to speak with someone you don't already know?! Really, how much people experiance do you have? Granted you watch a lot of movies, but that's not real life. How many social studies classes have you taken? Have you done any reading from a creditable source online? Somehow I dought it. A few weeks in a crash course on how to deal with children at your work doesn't count either. :P
