I love this. Beautifully written and I really like the storybook feel to it, it suits the series it's being written for. I love when fics can succinctly portray a lot of meaning because every word in the drabble is put to good use.
"No one ever rescued a witch."
That line's perfect. The way that Revolutionary Girl Utena turns all of the fairytale roles on their heads is what makes it really special. Utena's a prince and a princess. Anthy's a princess and a witch. The prince saves the princess, but the princess also saves the witch, and even then it's more like the prince/princess helps the princess/witch save /herself/.
I like the last line of the fic a lot too. :) I hope once the next challenge starts it inspires you!

Thanks for the kind words! Utena's a tricky fandom to write for, yet I love the fairytale aspects of it, too. And Anthy's always fun to write for, to try to pry behind those blank eyes of hers.

Quite touching; I really liked it. ^_^ It's not easy to capture the feel of Utena in print, but you've done quite well.

Welcome to the community!

The imagery in this is so beautiful! You paint the scene (or scenes, I suppose) very effectively within the drabble limit. And I really have to say, your icon is just gorgeous. ^_^
