I really liked this. *grin* I've read a dozen or more stories that deal with what happens to Utena and Anthy after the series, but I think this is the first one that just has them dealing with living, not something from their former lives that's followed them. And it works very well. ^_^

I haven't read any fics where something from the duels followed them, but I almost don't think I'd want to. It just felt so clear to me that this part of their lives was irrefutably over at the end of the series. (Though maybe that's just because I really dislike Akio and want to keep him as far away from the girls as possible ;). I like the idea of them just having a good, loving and long life together filled with less dramatic problems--which is often what happens, I think, when you leave adolescence behind. You still have problems, and often they're horrible, but mostly they don't feel so raw and dramatic as if the whole universe is at stake.

*nod* It really depends on what the author wants to do, I think. Sometimes, Ohtori is something they can't get away from, sometimes, they end up somewhere else entirely. I wrote one where things ended up really screwed-up and then they got to the real world, but it was a crossover with Sandman, so things were bound to get a bit twisted. *grin* But the quiet life you've given them here is a good one.

Anthy seems a little overly talky here, but like musedmoose I still enjoyed the just general simplicity of this post-series fic. It's actaully refreshing and quaint...
