Mantau

At my way back from Makassar, I got to buy souvenirs for people from the office and… myself…

Besides otak-otak (which I’m sure the taste and look is waaaay different from those I knew when I’m still a kid…) I bought also this “Makassar mantau” (so it was written). Apparently the souvenir shop is located in china town, so such frozen food is common there.

Well, all I have to do is have it steamed inside a rice cooker (arranging my stove for the job is quite a hassle so I choose the easiest way…) for some time, and voila!

It has soft texture (very soft) and taste good (because of the butter, I’m sure of it…) while it’s warm. But not so soft when it’s getting cold (tastes the same, but still feel kind of different…)

That’s for today’s dinner! Curse the lazy me… @_@;;
