FC - A Week in Review
Oh man! I'm still zonked from a weekend - nay, week - of fun at Further Confusion. It's crazy to think that a week ago today I was already in sunny California (by the way, the "sunny" part is highly overrated in the winter) and that FurCon 2010 is now a thing of the past. Looking back, there's a lot to highlight, so here are the cliffs notes on the con:
FLYING HIGH: Trampolines were in high supply at Sky High Sports. Not only did I learn how easy (and funny) it is to see someone tear through high tension fabric, but I learned I was actually dating a monkey. Hux is a freaking monkey, flipping over every which way. Props to direwolf23 for getting his aerials on too!
FOOD: Wow. Talk about variety. There were a lot of great meals had, including a yummy Cajun stop recommended by Decca and a swanky meal at the hotel's steak house with the boy, but my favorite was actually the repeat stops at Pizza My Heart. It just always seemed to hit the spot!
FURIENDS: I know, I know, really annoying fur-punned word. But it's true. It's amazing to me how many people I've come to know and get close to in the last year. I'm thankful for you all and can't wait for more fun times.
FOOTBALL: Watching football with vinnywest is always a trip. Seeing Favre throw a game losing pick to let Saints into the SuperBowl (for which I'll be in New Orleans) made it that much sweeter this time around.
FURSUITS: It was fun scoping out bits and pieces from various suits that I may want to incorporate into mine. And, as if it needed to be said, I love getting to see Halfcab running around. Everyone loves him!
BEST MOMENT BY FAR: Climbing Old La Honda road with hypersnazz . He's told me dozens of stories about his rigorous lunch rides up the beautiful winding road, and I finally had a chance to experience it myself. It almost broke me, but I made it to the top without stopping, and my reward was a gorgeous sunny descent and a little more insight into my coyote's world.
Also, big props to stellar roomies metroactual , rockwolf , and one-nighter bluemembrane .
What now? Well there's plenty of reality to take care of. Hope everyone else's week was a good one too!
