As I was going back home back today,
it was already dark.
I have always love the velvet sky with its dim and yet blinking nerves
and it's little ball of light called the moon.
I was sitting at the top, with the wind.
I felt calm and reassured.
I never knew why.
Perhaps it is so pretty to see the city lights,
the signals of the cars against the inky blackness.
Perhaps it is the fact that as the hour passed,
the people out there awake decreases.
Perhaps it is the blackness that covers me
and where I do not need to pretend.
There is no need to lie or to put on a facade in the darkness.
No need to hide the disappointments and the expectations.
I love this natural blanket that God has made for me.
Every night it is not the same.
There was this legend, used to fool sentimental people.
It said that the brightest star guided lovers to their other half.
It is a lie.
Why on earth do the stars care about the affairs of mortal men?
They shine brightly so as to reassure themselves that they are the brightest of them all.
One day, one day
I will risk it all.
Forgo everything that I know
and just escape this town
Will you lie next to me?
Even if there was no promise of eternity?
I guess not..
