Happy Monday?
It's the little things that make your day, you know?
Today I had my calc midterm, and I thought I was unprepared, considering I'd tried the homework and I wasn't getting the right answers. My day started off at the calc class doing review problems.
We ended early, so I went to Jamba Juice to use the $10 gift card I got for winning best costume at the Circle K Murder Mystery Dinner :D
My time for class scheduling was actually during my calc class, but I had my Japanese tutorial afterwards. I wasn't too worried about classes filling up too soon though. I did it before I went to work, and everything worked out fine.
I had work, which was normal. I do my best to keep my stations clean despite being busy. I felt especially good after my supervisor thanked me for my hard work ^o^
I showered after work and caught up on my online things. I figured I shouldn't try to "study" calc anymore and just wrote my notes for the test.
The midterm was surprisingly easy! I was glad. I mean, it's better to feel confident after the test and think I got 100%, than feel like I did poorly and walk out sad, right? So hopefully it's close to 100% XD
The Katamari soundtrack torrent finished before I went to my midterm, so I updated my shuffle to put my favorite song from the sequel on it. DISCO★PRINCE! I headed out feeling very Nana-ish (wearing my clunky boots and black coat/pvc jacket), so when glamorous sky started playing, though I was tempted to play DISCO★PRINCE, I took it as a sign to get in the mode :D I was feeling very good in general.
Afterwards, I made my way over to my animation class, and we got our papers back. Now, the professor said most of us did poorly our first paper, and because so many people brought up the issue, she said we could have our second paper count for the grade on the first one as well. So you can bet I worked my ass off for that. And it paid off! I was so happy to get an A-... it was hard to hide a smile from my face. Yay! I have hope for getting at least an A- in that class! Please don't screw up my major GPA, Animation Class!
At 9 I went to PC Theater where the anime club's meeting was. My friend is the president so I know what's going on. I told her I wanted to become an actual member and she offered an officer position to me! I guess it depends on what the job entails, but I think it'd be fun to take it :D
The only kink in my happy Monday story was probably the additional apartmentmate woe. It seems as though my milk was left out of the refrigerator for over 6 hours (I guess when I saw it on the counter before my midterm, it was mine... ***** basically shouted out how she was so hungry and had to have cereal). After I came back from the anime club meeting, I saw it there still, thinking how gross it was, but hey if they wanted to get sick from spoiled milk that's their problem. Then my roommate walks in asking if it was mine. Of course, I didn't think it was, because I didn't even take it out, but I guess that's their underhanded way to say "screw you": Get my roommate to ask me to use things/confirm questions/avoid blame for them.
"Hey, isn't it yours?" Oh? No, I didn't have any milk. "Yeah, ***** said she thought it wasn't hers." WTF? So she left it out of the fridge for that? Bullshit! What I said was more along the lines of "But why did she leave it out...?" ...

OK!
Well, after that ridiculous encounter, I was told some excellent news. Helen told Alan, who told me, that my Circle K scholarship was in fact received by the correct people. After my previous entry, I checked the Express Mail receipt I had, and I found out it was forwarded to the correct address. That was extremely lucky. If I had sent it regularly, I would have never seen that mail again, and it would have indeed been a waste of time to go through it.
So, as I've heard only 9 applications were received from the entire district (yikes!), hopefully that means I'll have very high chances of getting a scholarship. I still think it sucks that not many other people knew what was going on.
And now I get to sleep in~
