Chapter 5
Jaejoong and Yunho got to know each other better with each passing day. The angel had now stayed with Yunho for 2 weeks, and every now and then, Junsu would pop up and tell him a bit more about Yunho. Trivial things, but good to know anyway. Things such as,
“He’s allergic to peanuts.”
“He doesn’t like tulips.”
“He loves home cooked meals.”
And stuff like that.
Jaejoong quickly realized he was rather talented in the kitchen, and now that Yunho had gone back to work, he made sure to have dinner ready for him every day when he came home. Neither wanted to admit it, but they really loved each other’s company. Jaejoong didn’t even think about his task, or how he could make Yunho love somebody again. He just enjoying the time he had with Yunho, and even though Junsu probably wasn’t too happy about how long this was taking, he honestly didn’t care. He was happy and so was Yunho.
As the two sat together in the living room, eating dinner, Yunho took the opportunity to thank the angel.
“Jae?”
Jaejoong had to admit he loved the nickname the doctor had given him.
“Yes?”
“Uh.. I..” Yunho scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. “I just.. wanted to say that it’s been really nice having you here these past 2 weeks.”
“I’ve enjoyed it, too.”
“How about we go out for a drink tonight, eh? You’ve barely let the apartment.”
‘Alcohol?’ The angel had never tasted alcohol, but he knew what it did to humans if they had too much of it.
“Sure. That sounds nice.”
Luckily, Junsu had a few human contacts in Seoul that helped Jaejoong when it came to clothes and materialistic things, so that he wouldn’t have to rely completely on Yunho.
“Great. Well… it’s already 6pm, so I’m just gonna take a shower and get dressed and then we can leave, okay?”
“Okay.”
The angel didn’t like showering very much. The water felt rough on his silky smooth skin, but it was what humans had to do, so it naturally became something Jaejoong had to do.
He went into ‘his’ bedroom and started pulling out different clothes, in the end, deciding on black, skinny jeans and a white wife beater as well as a black leather jacket, and simple white sneakers. He ruffled up his hair a bit, and in his eyes, he didn’t look too bad.
When Yunho emerged from the bathroom 40 minutes later, Jaejoong found it hard to tear his eyes away from him.
With neatly styled hair, Yunho looked absolutely breathtaking in his white shirt, black vest and black pants.
“Y-You’re staring..”
“You look really handsome,” the angel admitted, not missing the blush that was slowly creeping up on the taller man.
“So do you. That leather jacket looks really good on you.” ‘It’s hugging your body in all the right places.’
Yunho shook his head, trying to get rid of the strange thoughts that had popped into his head ever since he saw Jaejoong coming out of his bedroom wearing nothing but a singlet and boxers. He had to admit Jaejoong was pretty.. hell, beautiful even, but he had never felt attracted to another man before. Even if Jaejoong was attractive, Yunho swore he would never fall for him.
As the two got inside Yunho’s car, the two men stole glances at each other as they neared the bar Yunho was talking about.
“We’re here. It’s usually not that crowed on a Wednesday, but who knows.”
Luckily, the doctor was right. It wasn’t crowed and it didn’t take long before they found a place to sit.
Sliding into the booth next to Jaejoong, Yunho smiled. ”So, what do you want?”
“I-I’ll just have whatever you’re having.”
“Okay.”
A few minutes later, two glasses of soju were placed in front of the two men.
“Cheers,” Yunho said with a smile before he drowned down the strong liquid.
The angel, on the other hand, wasn’t too sure about this. He licked the rim of the glass and grimaced at the taste. He pouted before he decided to follow Yunho’s lead, and in less than 2 seconds, he gulped down the strong beverage. He shook his head cutely and closed his eyes. “What was that?!”
“Soju. Come on, drop the angel act. It’s not like you haven’t had this before.”
“Uh.. it just tasted a bit strong.”
As more people entered the bar, more empty glasses could be found on Yunho and Jaejoong’s table. The angle couldn’t explain why he suddenly felt so dizzy and out of place, but he figured it was due to the alcohol.
“You look unsteady,” Yunho whispered in the angel’s ear, sending a shiver down Jaejoong’s spine.
“Y-Yeah.. you, too.”
“Hey, Jae?”
“Yes?”
The young doctor fiddled with his glass before he cleared his throat and leaned closer. “Remember what you said about feelings having no gender?”
The angel found it hard to answer as it was difficult to focus when Yunho was so close. “Yes..”
“Does that go for lust as well? Does lust have a gender?”
Before he could respond, Yunho cupped his face and placed a gentle kiss on the angel’s pouty lips.
