And so it goes
Before I left San Diego, I discussed my plans with Kristin - I would get a job at AE, get a transfer to a location in San Diego (preferably Horton Plaza), and have a good excuse to bring my car down to SD a quarter earlier than expected.
Well: I have a job at AE at the Block, my boss is good friends with the store manager at Horton, and if I have need for my car, then I'll be allowed to take it when I move in early September. Talk about luck! I only applied to AE, even though I downloaded a few applications to other places - I don't know if that shows supreme confidence or overweening arrogance.
Anywho. Work is enjoyable, and it keeps me occupied. Otherwise, I'd probably waste away of boredom. I'm afraid the librarians at Cerritos Library will know my name before long, that's how often I'd been driving to and from the place.
I must say, though, that I delight in being able to sit back and read. I never did find a lot of opportunity for pleasure reading during school, unfortunately.
So, that's a little update on how my summer's been progressing. Now if you'll excuses, I have a few things to take care of before I head out to work.
I love saying that - "I'm going to work." I sound so grown-up and independent. ^_^
