Some note: It was just a random thing I wrote and I can't help my yama mode recently.
The gallery was freezing, the heater wasn’t enough to warm the room, but the cold seemed not to bother Ohno from his concentration. His right hand was holding a brush, painting a portrait on a canvas before him. The painting was the last one he needed to finish before his exhibition which would be held within three weeks. It was a portrait of a man under the falling snow which was inspired by the picture he had taken in the middle of winter, when he and the man went for a short trip to Akita.
It wasn’t a real trip, since the man in the picture went there for the news program he was working for and Ohno decided to go together to look for an inspiration. The picture he took wasn’t planned, but the result was perfect and Ohno couldn’t help to paint it into a portrait.
“You’ll catch a cold, Satoshi-kun.”
A man covered him with small blanket and wrapped his hands around Ohno’s chest, his lips touched Ohno’s earlobe.
“Sho-kun, when did you come?” Ohno put down the palette and the brush away. He turned at the man and gave him a kiss on his lips.
“I knocked,” Sho answered.
“Sorry,” Ohno grinned. “I haven’t finished it yet,” he gestured to the painting.
“It’s beautiful,” Sho released his embrace and stepped aside to look at the painting from a better angle. “Your portrait is even better than the real picture. You painted me too well, Satoshi-kun.”
“You’re exaggerating,” Ohno said, smiling.
“No, I’m not,” Sho took a seat beside Ohno. “It’s one of many factors which make me fall in love with you.”
“What? The factors which keep you worry all the time?”
“I can’t deny that one as well,” Sho chuckled. “It’s your unlimited talent.”
Ohno turned towards Sho; he looked gorgeous in his suit and tie. It was a Wednesday night where he would host the midnight news. Ohno had lost track of time, he guessed it was close to a midnight, no wonder the room had turned colder from time to time.
“I never heard that kind of talent,” Ohno said while rising off of his tall chair. He had just realized that his waist had turned too much stiff. He bent down to kiss Sho on his lips. The man’s lips warmed him more effective than any blankets or any heaters. He really wanted to do more with the man, but Sho was ready for work and Sho would never forgive Ohno if he made him lose the job he loved the most.
“I bet everyone will be jealous of me for becoming your painting model,” Sho said as Ohno broke the kiss.
“They aren’t as gorgeous as you,” Ohno smiled at him. “Now, you have to go to work. I’ll be ready in front of the television after giving this portrait the last touch for tonight.”
Sho nodded, he grabbed his coat from the porch and wore them.
“Wait,” Ohno chased the man when Sho was about to open the door of the studio. “I’ll take a day off from my painting schedule tomorrow.”
Sho’s smiled turned broader as he heard that, “We can go for a date then.”
Ohno nodded. He watched Sho as the man left the studio, he returned to his canvas and looked at it for a couple of minutes. The half-finished painting was perfect, perhaps he didn’t need to really finish it and just leave it the way it was. He put down the brush, washed his hand on the sink and got ready in front of the television to wait for the midnight news.
