Comments: Oh look. that was quick!
It had been a little over two weeks and Ruki already dreaded waking up and going to work. It wasn’t that it was boring, slow, or something he couldn’t handle. It was his damn boss. The guy was an ass-at least he was to Ruki. Purposely giving him harder work than all the other workers and giving him that damn stare whenever someone wasn’t looking. It made his skin crawl. If it wasn’t for the fact he worked hard to get this job and the pay was good he’d so be out of there. Plus, Ruki was too stubborn to let this guy get him worked up and make him quit his job.
He was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts when someone knocked on his cubicle and he turned his chair with a surprised look to be greeted by a concerned tall, man with semi long light brunette hair.
“You okay…? I heard some angry muttering coming from here and…” Ruki’s face flushed a little from embarrassment. He didn’t even notice he was speaking. Damn Suzuki.
“Oh, hey Takeshima. Sorry, was… just uh… getting confused over these papers is all,” He chuckled lightly, and the other smiled. Takeshima Kouyou was one of the only co-workers he talked to often. The tall brunette actually took the initiative to come talk to him during a smoke break and ever since they had been spending their breaks together having a little chat here and there. They learned a few things about him, like that he preferred to go by Uruha and played a little guitar on side-which Ruki found interesting because always wanted to learn himself, so the other promised he’d give him lessons some day.
“Oh, you need help…?” He said smiling and taking a small step into Ruki’s cubicle-but not too far seeing how small they were of course, and he respected the other’s space(Unlike his damn boss).
“Oh.. uh… yea, sure..” He didn’t really need any help at all, but the other already seemed eager to attend him. The tall blonde leaned over him slightly and took a look at his screen.
“Hmm.. well it seems like you’re doing pretty good, just make sure you keep keying in the information in this order…” He informed, pointing to a few things on Ruki’s monitor, and Ruki nodded, trying to ignore the blush creeping up his neck to his cheek. The other was so close to him it was making him uncomfortable. Not to mention his deep voice rumbling right in his ear gave him chills. What’s with him? He shouldn’t be feeling-
There was another knock at the cubicle wall and Uruha jumped back in surprise and Ruki turning his head once more to see his boss looking wearily at Uruha.
“What’s going on?” He asked calmly, not accusingly, he sounded genuinely curious, but the unreadable look in his eyes made Ruki think otherwise.
“Oh! Suzuki -san, excuse me,” He bowed slightly, “I was just helping Matsumoto-san out with some work.” He said explaining why he wasn’t at his own desk working.
“Ah, I see. Well, thank you Takeshima for your efforts. I’ll take this from here on,” Suzuki said with a smile stuffing his hands in his pocket. Uruha nodded again and left, the other still giving him that look as he left.
“Glad to see you’re making friends, Matsumoto.” Ruki turned in his chair and rolled his eyes, getting back to work. He felt uneasy as he typed, feeling his stare on back. “Do you need help?”
“No, thank you. Takeshima-san told me what to do.” There was a soft “mm” in understanding, he figured, before he heard shuffling and soft foot steps away from his cubicle. He paused his typing and sighed. He needed to concentrate, not another few hours till he was off for the day. The brunette stretched, and sipped his coffee before hastily getting into his work once more.

“See you next week, Matsumoto!” The lady at the front desk said sweetly and Ruki smiled and nodded, “Bye!” He was so glad he got the weekend off. Now he could get some time to himself.
“Hey! Taka!” He heard someone call and whipped around to see Uruha jogging toward him.
“Oh, hey, Uruha,” The informal name almost felt weird coming off his tongue. But the other insisted on him calling him by his nickname when they weren’t on the job. “You know... you can call me Ruki if you want.”
“Ruki?”
“Childhood nickname.”
“Ah, Alright. Ruki.” Uruha said with a grin, as if testing the name on his lips and Ruki couldn’t help but smile. It was quiet for a moment, and Uruha stuffed his hands in his pockets, coughing a little.
“So.. Ta-ah, Ruki… you free tonight?” He asked with a small smile and Ruki raised a brow.
“Uh… yeah, why?”
“I was wonderin’ if maybe you’d like to go out for dinner.” Ruki blinked.
“Oh uh… sure.” Uruha grinned widely.
“Awesome.” And from then on the taller man informed Ruki on this cool restaurant he had been meaning to try out for some time and they should go together. Ruki of course agreed and they both separated as they headed to their own cars, agreeing to meet up at eight that night.
The dinner was nice, and Ruki felt at ease when Uruha didn’t try anything once. He could tell Uruha asked him to get to know him more on a "personal" basis then a buds-going-out kind of thing. But he couldn't say he minded too much because Uruha was being quite the gentlemen. Yeah, there was a sweet comment here and there, but he didn’t try to invite himself in Ruki’s apartment or anything like that. His boss had been on his mind so much he forgot there were guys who weren’t like animals.
He waved good bye too Uruha as he walked up to his apartment, and heard the other’s car speed off. He was pretty exhausted, and was greatly looking forward to his days off. Finally he could get some peace without that stalker blonde always behind him.

“You’ve got to be kidding me…” Ruki murmured under his breath as a certain blonde made his way over to him. He had decided to go out to a local café and get some fresh mocha coffee and enjoy a nice breakfast to have some time to think, alone, but he instantly regretted leaving his apartment when he saw that damn aggravating face of his boss. It was his last day of his two days off, and he was already trying to cope with seeing him tomorrow.
“Mind if I sit here?”
“Yes, ac-“
“Good.” The blonde gave a fake sweet smile, and sat down across from the smaller brunette. Ruki grunted and rolled his eyes. There was silence; there was often an awkward silence with Ruki. At least to him, but the other seemed content with looking at him in that odd way.
“You look cute today,” The blonde suddenly spoke, making Ruki’s face flush slightly and give a small awkward cough. It was totally inappropriate for his boss to be flirting with him, and he was going to get that point across.
“Look, Suzuki-san, I’m sorry bu-“
“Oh, please, leave the informal stuff in the office. Outside of work, call me Reita.” Ruki twitched.
“Now, Ruki… that’s what Kouyou calls you, hm…? Well, I hope you don’t mind me calling you that too.”
“Well, you know, I do mind.” Reita smiled and tilted his head.
“You’re even cuter when you get annoyed.” Ruki frowned and his cheeks flushed just a bit more and he averted his eyes away from his boss. This was so inappropriate.
Reita continued trying to make small talk, and Ruki kept on ignoring him, hoping maybe just maybe if he pretended he didn’t exist he’d go away.
Ruki sipped that last bit of his coffee before leaving the mug on the table and standing up to leave without so much as a good bye. He strolled out the front café door; the bell was ringing bit more than it should, which meant someone left right after him. So he was going to follow him? This guy really was stalker.
The brunette sped up his pace, but still, he could feel someone following close behind he scoffed, ready to turn around and give this guy a piece of his mind before he was suddenly grabbed and pulled.
“The hell!?” Next thing he knew, he was pressed against an alley wall, with Reita standing at a very uncomfortable distance away from him.
“Is there something you want? It stinks in here. And if you get my jacket dirty, I don’t care if you are my boss, I’m kicking your ass,” Ruki spat glaring up at the blonde.
Reita chuckled before moving closer, their noses mere centimeters away, and Ruki gulped, trying not to show any weakness. Even though at the moment he felt like a mouse trying to act tough in front of a lion, it just wasn’t working.
“You can keep playing hard to get, Ruki, But just remember I like a good challenge.” With that, Reita winked before slipping away and leaving him in the alley, confused.
Ruki blinked and frowned again before murmuring to himself, “I think I need more coffee.”
