Thanks to
JozJozJoz, I was invited to attend V3, an Asian American blogging and new media conference which meant I had to dress up since it sounded so official. So I put away my Captain Mar-vell costume away and put on my slacks.
It was actually a pretty good show which was was both informative and entertaining with a couple of primary talks (Asian spotting in traditional media and Asian Americans in Youtube - theres a freaking a lot of em that have a lot of subscribers) in the large conference room at the Japanese American National Museum and some other panels to choose from in smaller rooms. But fuck me because 3 of the interesting one coincided so I chose "Covering sports in social media". The other 2 were about food blogging and making cheese off your site - I'm a big mouse, I'll just get a job, thanks. Actually, I"m a fan of Angela Sun who I watch when she does the Yahoo! sports minute and because she was there, I would be too. There was a actually a few more talks but I had to leave because of work but not before I got my free lunch sponsored by Panda Express! But wait, there's more. Free swag included a gift bag containing pens, highlighter, a tape measure, a universal studios key chain (for some odd reason) a coupon to Panda Express and a Mcdonald's notepad. The only blemish to this show was the couple sitting in front of me who must have been on their 3rd date because there was an abnormal amount of pda in my direct line of sight - yo Asian chick with the big hips, dial it down a notch, the shit is happening in front of you so stop turning around as if you're looking for flowers to be delivered. Also I learned that people are much taller in real life than they appear on youtube.
There's actually 2 Captain Marvel's around. The one who yells "shazam" and the other one known as "the most cosmic superhero of them all". I'm referring to the latter.
