"The movie is Battle: LA meets Gossip Girl...meets Daddy Day Care meets Kazaam starring Shaquille O'Neal..."

To everyone: please watch the video below and bask in the amazingness that is Adele.

Excuse me while I step on to my soapbox for a second: Everyone needs to get on the Adele bandwagon faster. Her voice is incredible. The fact that she can be on stage in front of thousands with just a piano speaks to how she doesn't need the bells and whistles of Auto-Tune and a bandzilla to make truly fantastic music.

This beautiful but melancholy song actually in no way reflects the pretty great week I had. Last week, I started a new internship at a distribution/production company, and--knock on wood--it's going pretty well. The boss is great, our office mates are so nice it's scary, and the decor would make any Ikea aficionado proud. Plus, I got my first professional e-mail address. We won't talk about how embarrassingly giddy that made me. So far, so good, but I'll reserve further judgment until I get out of the "getting to know you" stage of my stint.

In other news, after a fortuitous turn of events, my friend and I decided to go to the Parks and Recreation PaleyFest panel tonight. This is OMGWTFAMAZING for the following reasons:
1. Parks and Rec is one of the best (and underrated) TV comedies with the funniest ensemble cast. Exhibit A: Rob Lowe Goes Nuts
2. Adam Scott. He's amazing for various reasons, most recently his letter about why he wasn't on the Entertainment Weekly cover last month.
3. I didn't expect to go to any of the PaleyFest panels this year, so sort of falling into a plan the night before is a very pleasant surprise. Double points for spontaneity.
4. Witnessing Chris Pratt's fascinating spazziness in person
5. It's weird ending a list at #4, so I guess I'll mention Adam Scott again.

Now excuse me while I speed through my work today in an effort to not watch the clock.
