Took the PCAT today.

Wasn't prepared. At all. Sort of. Well, I studied out of my practice book but haha, they changed the test format!! Now we have essays, too. My essay was to write about this statement:
"Used inappropriately, science can cause suffering in the name of progress". Uh, yeah.

First section- Verbal ability. In all honesty, this wasn't bad at all. We had analogies then a "fill in the blank" section and most of the words were recognizable. Really wasn't bad. Only had 35 minutes for 58 questions.

Second section- Biology. This wasn't bad either! Many Human Body questions that I could get off the top of my head because I'm in Human Body right now. Still ... 35 minutes for 58 questions.

Third Section- Reading comprehension. Ugh, those parts are just so freakin' tedious. Six passages about something to do with science or at least the medical field. They were interesting reads but I could do without it. 48 questions and we had 50 minutes.

Fourth Section- Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I hated it. Quantitative ability aka Math. They had so much calculus on there! And you know, haven't taken Calc since high school. Well, not real calc, I took a gen calc class which is a joke. The practice booklet had no calc in it whatsoev. Good thing my dad went over logarithms with me last night. That was a good life saver there. 58 questions, 50 minutes and I freakin' ran out of time and just had to start guessing anything and didn't answer like, three of them.

Fifth Section- Chemistry. I thought there'd be more inoraganic chemistry but the bulk of it was organic chemistry with some kinetics. Not as good as biology went but not as horrendous as math. It wasn't bad, really. 50 minutes for 58 questions.

Sixth Section- Essay. See above about what it was about. Wrote in crappy handwriting. Had some interesting idea that yes, I agree with the statement. Would get into it now but don't really want to. Sooorry.

I went to KC with my mom and baby brother last night. Met up with my dad there. Drove through the PLAZA oh my god it is GORGEOUS! They have an Armani exchange that made me squeal a little. I hope to be able to go walk the Plaza one of these days. We finally made it to our hotel about ten minutes until our reservation hold was up. Comfort Inn. The hotel was just NICE. Looooved it. Hotel beds are mad comfortable, too.

Came home. Came to the library. A friend of mine came by later to study with me. Went home to eat. Am back at the library typing in this thing instead of studying.

I have a test on Monday in Human Body. Did REALLLLY shitty on my last lab test. 72% yuck. At least my lab average is a 87%. Not bad. I'm going to live with a B in Human Body.

My foot is really asleep.

FRIDAY ... OR...THE 26TH IS NEW DEGRASSI!!! FIIIINALLY!!!
