Tell Me Baby
Now for a lighter fare than that poem.
What a crazy fun weekend! Quick recap:
1. Ikea, Mall of the Millenias, aka Orlando friday night
2. Getting back at 3:30 am from Orlando
3. Going to sleep at 4:00 am
4. Getting up at 6:45 am for Bat Fest saturday morning
5. Non-stop delirious hilarious face painting (SO MANY FRUIT BATS AND FLOWERS) 8:00 am-4:00 pm
6. FINALLY meeting up with "Risky" at Mochi at 5:30 pm saturday night :)
7. LSU fail and rockin' gumbo at 8:00 pm
8. Pie at Perkins at midnight
9. Mall wandering and Gelato Companying sunday
10. Running into Adam's parents at Wal Mart sunday night (wtf?! LOL)
11. Breathe.
No wonder it went by so fast. So now what I really wanted to talk about, "Risky Business" (I've decided he's just going to be dubbed Risky on here. Why not.) I think I just made myself throw up a little.
What a great date! I suppose I can call it that, it's certainly what I meant it to be. As soon as we met up at Mochi at 5:30, it was non-stop talk until 7:30. So easy, comfortable, interesting. That's not a normal date for me. No. Normal dates usually consist of awkward moments, stress brought on by not perfect fits/common interests and mentalities, and intimidation. That's what I loved so much about this one with Risky--it was so worn-in feeling, like an old favorite t-shirt (my math team shirt!). Now, I'm not saying he's already the quality of that shirt and that he already holds a lot of importance and sway, but it really was a great start :) Especially since we were both actually sober this time around...hahaha
The make-it or break-it moment for me happened as he walked me to my car. Hand on the small of my back as usual, he asked me where I parked and I asked him if he was into cars. HE'S NOT! As Keely perfectly put it "He's a keeper!" soooo we'll see! I'm pretty excited about the whole thing, he's definitely a huge dork, but he's different and interesting because he's outgoing at the same time. A lot like me. I hope there's more to come--maybe this is the start to the kind of thing I've always looked for but have never found (fingers crossed!). I've just got to keep myself under control by not analyzing him out of the picture.
