halloween

Fuck yes, I trick-or-treated.

What else?

Except this year was super cold. Like, 40 degrees F, maybe less. When we were finished, my legs were all pink/red and my hands were all pink/red.

Plus, we didn't go nearly as far around the neighborhood as we did last year. Because it was cold.

There was this one house, same as last year, that had a bunch of stuffed animals out on their yard, with a sign next to them that said FREE: TAKE ONE!! Last year, I got a Winnie the Pooh, this year I got a little white bear thing that's also uber cute.

Around 8:30, there was this other house where the lady just told us "Dig in, kids!", and Ali said "Really? Really?" so we took handfulls and handfulls out of the lady's bowl. Then she told her kids "Hey girls, go get the other candy!" and refilled her bowl.

Other people dumped the rest of their candy into our bags. Gotta get rid of it somehow!

Trick or treating is always pretty fun.

But, my absolute favorite part of trick or treating is when it's over.

When you're sitting scattered the basement and, "On three, you guys", you and all your friends dump out and sort your candy. Then begins the candy-trade, where he's yelling "I'll give you anything for whoppers!" and you're yelling back, "Sour patch kids?" and he's saying "For all your Whoppers, yes!"

So candy is being thrown to people who want it, or just thrown around. Everyone knows what candy you like, so at random times, you're getting Almond Joys in the head. By now you've already began eating the good stuff, like Twix and Kit Kats.

That's what I always look forward to about Halloween.

The end.

So what do you like about Halloween, if anything?
