Beauty in all it's forms fascinates and drives me. The love and appreciation of beauty, whether it be a feather, the bird flying, a piece of artwork, a seaplane taking off, is one thing that we all share in common, and strive to surround ourselves with it. We may not all agree on what is beautiful, but we all want more of it. It is my passion to create, share, and absorb as much of this ethereal, intangible substance as possible. - death:
Death and the various beliefs, fears, and effects it engenders in people fascinates me. I started to take a Death and Dying class at SCCC years ago, but unfortunatly it was a 7am class and I ended up dropping it because I couldn't seem to make it on time. Eventually I would like to take it again though.
I have an overactive imagination, I am constantly daydreaming new scenarios, many are beautiful, and many are brutal and morbid. I believe this is my way of preparing myself for the eventuality that all of us will one day die, and many horrible things may happen before the end. - life:
Life fascinates me just as much as death. They are my yin and yang so to speak, as you cannot have one without the other, so to I cannot think about one without considering the other. Understanding people and their motivations starts with their thoughts, beliefs, and fears about life. Religions offer us hope that all is not in vain, but fewer and fewer people are believers these days. I study my own motivations for living to help me frame a reason for others doing the same. My motivations are basically, love, beauty, and fun. Enjoying all of them as much as possible, because if there isn't anything after this, I don't want to have wasted it in misery, boredom, and horror. - love:
No one is quite sure what it is, but it shapes and defines our actions throughout life, probably more than death does. That is pretty incredible. This indefinable, powerful, and sometimes painful force can cause us to do amazing things that we would not normally do, either to impress someone, or save someone, it can give us a confidence and a strength that we did not previously possess. But it is not all powerful, sometimes it fails in fantastic ways, and sometimes it survives against all odds. Without love, the world would be a very boring, cold and miserable place indeed.
