There are many different genres of friends.
  • Those who you make an effort to meet once they say "hey let's meet!". Best if you are meeting more than one person at one go 'cos that saves you the trouble of meeting them individually and you can (literally) kill (at least) two birdsfriends with one stone.
  • Those who you don't make too much of an effort to meet because of whatever reason - only meeting one person? most probably. hard to arrange? seems too busy? not convenient to meet? - but still do miss terribly. When you do meet them though, it's pretty darn rewarding. And you wonder to yourself why don't you do that more often. Could the reason be because you're only meeting one person? Somehow doesn't seem "worth it" to be catching up with only one person? But you have no idea how much more precious that can be. Maybe you've been apart from that friend for too long and need to realize only when you meet again.
  • Those who you don't need to meet too much but will definitely meet (even if it's just with them alone - i.e., meeting only one person) because you are just that close.
  • Those who you only meet if you "report" to the same place every day/week/month - school, work, church, whatever. You probably wouldn't meet them for drinks unless you're in the same group (note: not exactly same clique; maybe class/cca) and are attending a particular event.
  • And many more.
