It was my birthday on Sunday. It was meant to be a fun day but it was cursed from the start.
I went out in the morning and went to the Centre Point Food Store which is a Korean supermarket. When I walked in Wrong Number was playing! 8D It was sooooooo cool, I never thought I'd actually walk into a shop in London and have them playing any of these songs so I was pretty hyped up! During the time I was there Haru Haru by Big Bang was played as well. ;) I bought some Kimbap and some Kimchi and then left feeling half content. I actually went there to check if they sold CD's but the guy wasn't in that day so... Oh well.
Next I met up with my dad in Chinatown which was really really packed because of their New Years celebrations. I should have realized then that my dad had made a mistake.
I usually get my birthday cake from Pattiserie Valerie which sells really nice French and Italian cakes but my dad had told me before that they were closed for refurbishment. He said that he ordered my cake from another place that sells similar cakes so I thought it was ok.
Back to Sunday. We were in Chinatown and I could barely breathe because of all the people there and then my dad walks into a Chinese bakery. I thought he was just going in to get my mum something(she likes sweet things) but then this really pretty lady brings out a gigantic cake and I thought OH. MY. GOD. How can anyone compare an Italian cake to a Chinese one? I'm sure it's nice and everything but I was really looking forward to my cake. I sound like a total brat, right?
And so, I walked back home and then I had my birthday cake. :(
Not too later on I was in a deep conversation with my sister(mens biceps. Lol) and I didn't realise that my dad had mopped the passage. My sister told me to put my books in my bedroom so I got up and left the living room. As soon as I stepped into the passage I slipped, twisted my left foot not once, not twice but FOUR times, and then I went smack on the floor. It was seriously painful and I usually laugh at myself when I fall over or slip but this time I actually broke into tears. I had to get it checked and although it's not broken it has a small fracture and my muscles are swollen.
I was fine with the foot injury until the icing on the cake... It snowed in London. And lots of it! It hasn't snowed like this in London in probably 7 years. I watched people have snowball fights from my window and I felt like shit. I wish I can go out. Even the freaking parliament members are having fun in the snow!
Oh well. I'm sure this will be one of my most memorable birthdays ever. Does anyone else have Birthday stories they'd like to share? I'm sure it's waaaayy better than mine! :)
