The curveballs my sister throws my way.

Cultural misunderstands are quite funny ne?

Today my sister and I were talking about new groups that we like lately. She's really into k-pop these days and kept using the word "oppa". For the longest time, I kept wondering why she was saying xxxxxxxxxx-breast this, yyyyyyyyy-breast that. It was a little weird that she wanted to talk to me about breast…not that I mind. Because as a brother, I'll listen to her, even if it's weird for me to hear her say certain things. But I kept laughing while she talked so she asked me what was going on. So I, in turn asked her why she kept adding breast after someone's name. After she finished laughing and telling my parents that my mind is still stuck on boobs, she said that she was saying oppa the whole time, not oppai.

I think oppa means a guy older than a girl in Korea.

Even after the explanation, I can't help but feel that she's still saying breast. It sounds the same to me..

Anyone else have a funny story?
