Just a Little Book - Harry K Gilliland & Suzann B Gilliland
why this book - lots of reasons and life is funny sometimes
gilliland is my wifes maiden name
yes
this was written by her grandfather and his wife
both VERY well versed in the studies of metaphysics
ive meet them both a couple times and have been fortunate to share a meal and conversation with them
they also gave my wife and i another book of this nature for our wedding gift as a good starting point to this subject
but theirs seemed a more fitting place to begin
bits of info/ideas that stick out in my mind -
man = "manus" in sandskrit = "to think"
reincarnation - ive had thoughts on this for a long long time but ill get into that more later
the 3 admonitions "love all always" / "do not judge" / "be selfless"
the big bang - the relation of science/god are not so far apart
another idea that ive held for some time
the planes of existence - the idea of our many levels of conciseness all at one time
again another idea im familiar with
the law of karma - what goes around comes around
flowing life - its the idea of finite soul that ive held for some time the idea that there is only some much life/soul in the universe that is contantly recycled
in the book this thought is tied to reincarnation and the spiritual evolution of humanity
that we as a world society are a "faliure" in the fact that we have followed the path of science into material things as oppossed to our evolution spirutally and mentally in harmony with the world itself
