Alright- now, this'll have manga spoilers so, you're warned. I'm making this post now so I dont' forget, since I'm waiting for approval to join the forum. -long exasperated sigh-
So, in File 712, Conan was knocked out via-tazer and the Amber is stolen. 713, everyone is searched-including Conan.
What strikes me, is Conan's curled hand. I'm not entirely sure how much they moved Conan while searching him, but his hand is very subtly focused on in most shots of him unconscious. There's also something weird about how his fingers are positioned, and sometimes, there's odd shading in between them.
Kid knocked out Conan because 1- He wanted to face Jorikichi without him there, since Conan's been at EVERY SINGLE Jirokichi heist. 2- Kid could be (is) aware that Conan's Shinichi, and has perhaps noticed that there's unusual activity around the Mouri's/Beika/in general, and since he's constantly, oddly, in the spotlight (despite best attempts not to), the BO may have become interested in Conan for whatever reasons, and Kid is trying to bring focus OFF of him by allowing the kids to solve the case without his help. 3- Use Conan as a manner of which to hide the jewel.
Which goes into my next and previous point- As I said, Conan's hand position bothers me. While on the one hand it could be a 'natural' resting position, if he had been shocked, his hand might end up/should have been more flat, not curled. -This brings me to the thought that Conan's hand is in the position it is due to Kid placing the Amber into his hand
On the flip side, Conan may have heard the mechanism open (he's unconscious right next to it), grabbed the amber to protect it, and then got shocked by Kid- HIGHLY doubtful on this part, but may as well call it anyhow.
Anyways. It's an interesting heist. Kid doesn't need a disguise to hide the jewel- he's got an unconscious rival to do it for him. I've also pondered is Conan is covering a secret in-floor opening mechanism, but that's a tad far fetched and doesn't fit with the riddle left on the pillar by the mechanism's creator.
Anyway, that's about all of my conjectures on this case so far (one of like, the only ones I've made ever). Bwah~
